Hello Everyone,
This year will be my first TBF and I am soooo excited. I am just finshing Graduate School and my program doesn't allow any personal days or days off, so sadly I can't get there until Friday Afternoon!!! Still feeling lucky that I at least  :cheersget to experience most of it, I have single day tickets for Friday, Sat, and Sun and am going to be camping at Lawson Field. I read all the posts for virgins, and am starting to get my list together, but couldn't find any thing about getting there late. As the festival will already be in full swing on Friday when I get in town and the Roads will be blocked off, do I just have to Carry all my stuff from the Car to Lawson? How often do shuttles run?  Will I even be able to find a spot for a tarp on Friday afternoon?  Any advice would be greatly appreciated, I wish I could get there much earlier in the week, but it just isn't in the cards. Thanks so much, looking forward to meeting everyone.

Lawson is outside of town, so you'll be able to drive right up to it. You will have to carry your stuff to your camp site, though.

If it's just you, I wouldn't worry about a tarp. Most people in the festival grounds will be more than willing to let you share their space. Just ask if you can plop down by them, maybe offer go on a beer run, be polite and make some new friends! And if a tarp is empty, festivarian law gives you the right to occupy it until its proper owners return. They may ask you to move on, but usually, they'll just ask you to scoot over. I've never had a bad experience tarp hopping.

The Shuttles run pretty regularly. The biggest thing to remember is to bring everything you'll need with you in the morning. Once your there, you won't want to go back to camp to get rain gear, or a water bottle, or a chair.

 Cheers

Thanks so much Hot Sugar, that helps a lot.  Do I need a car pass for Lawson if I drive to it to unload my stuff? Will there be plenty of space for a tent in Lawson, even though I'll be getting there late?   Thanks, I just such an excited Festiquerian...

I definitely remember seeing you...I was the one in the lawn chair drinking a Fat Tire.

You won't need a vehicle pass for Lawson. Once your done unpacking, the amazing TBF volunteers will direct you to where to park.

I've never camped there, so I don't know how crowded it gets, but I'm sure there will still be a spot for you.
