Hello everybody, I hope your spring is going well!  Sol Chase, the young mandolin picker who we've all watched grow up at Telluride over the years, is getting ready to release his first full length album!  He's 14 year old now, and as good as ever.  He's got a Kickstarter Project going to produce 1000 CD's to sell during his live performances and he's got less than two weeks to go to meet his goal. 

If you've loved seeing him perform at Telluride all these years, how about supporting his project with a pledge- he's got some great rewards including signed copies of his new album, writing a song for you personally, and even a live performance.  Please check out the link below which includes his personal video explaining his project, performance videos, photos, links to his website, Youtube Channel, and Facebook Musician's Page, and more.  He could really use everyone's support- THANKS EVERYBODY, and see you all in Telluride before we know it!

U bet, RockyMtnGuy- thank you for being vocal and for supporting Sol!!  Please say 'Hi' at Telluride when you catch Sol pickin' around, especially if there's a considerably slower older dude pickin' in the circle next to him who bears a striking resemblance.  Much appreciated!

 Thumbs Up That is SO AWESOME!!! Yay for Sol...Heading to kickstarter to check it all out after I post. Amazing that he was 8 or 9 since Chris and I first saw him rocking outside the Conference center after Yonder (when Drew sat in for the entire 2nd set...that was great). Then it was last year that proud papa brought him in the Sheridan for his first nightgrass? Cool, see ya'll in June!

Right on , Zoe!  Yes Sol certainly has grown up a lot.  After seeing an awful lot of Yonder shows since his first in '04, last year was in fact his first Yonder Sheridan show- he was finally old enough/mature enough to handle the late night intensity in there, and he loved it.  We were both utterly blown away when Austin called Sol out, gave him big props, and then dedicated 'Illlinois Rain' to him.  What a first YMSB SOH show for a 13 year old picker!  Living his dream, certainly.  See you in June, yes, thanks for your enthusiasm and support!

Sol's album is nearly finished being remastered and cd production will be underway soon. Sol will have finished copies of his CD's ready for Telluride this year, and you'll be able to find them wherever you find him playing around town.  Thanks again everyone for the Kickstarter project support and for all the other Sol support over the years!  See you in a few weeks!
