I'm excited for Drew and Vince and Friends!  I'd love to go see Peter Rowan, but it seems like that will be clashing with Leftover Salmon, and Leftover wins that battle ten times out of ten.

I knew there'd be a catch.  That's a bummer about the conflict.  Luckily I just saw LOS a couple months ago twice ... so won't be too dissappointed in ducking out early.   One man gathers what another man spills.

But how long will Seryn be playing before Pete and the McCourey's? If Seryn plays long enough, it doesn't have to be a problem.

True.  I've never been to a double billed Nightgrass, so I'm not sure.

I left the fest after two songs of OCMS last year in order to make it to the Mumford nightgrass show :-/  Abigail Washborn was the opener and played a regular-length set of probably about 45 minutes or so.  So it probably would have been possible to see nearly all of Old Crow and then still have made it to the Opera House in time to see Mumford.  Hope that helps!

don't you think Fogerty will be closing Friday? Leftovers nightgrass sounds awesome Saturday, but the Palm doesn't seem right for them somehow... Dunno if i can pass up devil makes three at FMTTM! I'm Pretty stoked for Elephant Revival at the Sheridan, Rowan/McCoury's, and DMT. Man, life is rough when you have to make the quote hard quote decisions Wink  what a ridiculous line-up!!

i agree.  Last year I stayed for the entire Robert Plant set in the rain, then to meet our friends warming up at a bar, and still to the sheridan in time for Punch Brothers. Sarah Jaroz was still on stage. Maybe  Sunday Night is just a later bill, but PB played from about 12:30 or 1:00 - 3:00am. That was a hell of a night!

I definitely think Fogerty will play before Salmon.  Leftover has been a closing band the last few times they've played.  Plus, the headliner (Fogerty) each night typically plays around 8PM.

I'm really hoping it goes Del > John Fogerty > Leftover.  That will make for an epic night.

Indeed, that's how the music will flow on Friday night... Leftover is closing the night after Fogerty's "headline" spot.

I've only been to one, but I seem to remember the second act didn't start until after midnight.

Generally speaking:

If there is an opener at your NightGrass show of choice, you can probably watch the full main stage set and not miss the headliner.

If there is no opener, you'll probably miss some of the beginning/1st set if you stick around till the bitter end at the main stage.
