I lost my Procion dye collection, and paraphernalia, somewhere between then and now.  Could someone organize a dye party in Town Park Camp week before, with-in schedule?

If so we could plan ordering x number of second T's, or firsts, dyes, rubber bands plastic bags . . . etc.  chip in or ask for donations.  Maybe order 20% more for those who may become interested between now and then?

I'm thinking we all need to have a "flash mob" dancing jig to honor Pat on the first day of the festival this year. What do you say about everyone getting up and dancing in his honor at 4:20 Thursday? Thumbs Up

PERFECT!

We'll never get his dance moves down, but we CAN demonstrate his enthusiasm!

The only thing that makes it a "Flash Mob" is that we'll all do it together at 4:20. Concert
No practice! Just get out there and dance like Pat would have. :dance
You can do it alone, or together. dancing

There is an excellent Gathering at the Elks Lodge in Telluride in Memory of Pat presently.  I've come home for my Family.  We (although I wasn't there) released his ashes off the top of Lift 9, or the Plunge lift at the mountains top.  Many locals favorite lift, I'd see him on every lift, I believe 9 was Pat's favorite.    I have to return to the Elks for some of my family I haven't yet met, and some I have.

Hello,

I am Dancing Pat's daughter, Kate Morris. He was an exceptional man, an adventurer, a music lover and fun guy. He loved to ski and absolutely loved his music festivals. I have heard many times how happy he was to be there and how much he really enjoyed it. He was a father that got up with the babies in the night and played on the floor with his children, then his grandchildren. He was a dad that took you on an adventure. He had a spirit about him that was just so wonderful, you knew he took each moment life gave him and lived it to the fullest.

I truly hope there is a flash mob dance for him at the festival, he would love that. I know while we were in town there were many places that had Pat Dancers out trying to bust his moves. His soul felt the music and his body followed. Dance on Dad.

Thank you all for sharing his memories - Kate

HI Kate,
I got to meet your brother Pat.  Serious chip off the block.  Excellent character, honorable of Dad, kind and straight up as Dad, though willing to refine and even hold back to keep the peace.  Your brother in such a critical position, as educator, of shaping chefs for the palettes and dining experience of many.  I love that Pat was not willing to keep much down, not one to support corporate personage, seen him turn to keep the peace, but I don't think there was a white lie in him.  Love to you as you adjust, heal, and enjoy Pat's light from a better place.  He seems to have taken on even more omniscience.  We'll have to advertise the Flash Mob in the Daily Planet and Watch closer to event.   :hop Cheers :hop

Iriecycle -

Thank you for your kind words. My brother and father are very similar in many ways. My father's amazing spirit and great attitude will live on in us as we celebrate his life and the chance we all got to be part of it.

I will look forward to hearing about the flash mob as the time gets closer. Let me know if there is anything I can help to advertise.

Thank you all again for sharing your memories, it's a great comfort to know how much dad enjoyed his life.

I'm in for celebrating the Dancing Hippy's life and spirit in dance form. I didn't know him personally, but I loved the energy and spirit he brought every year, and that tells me all I need to know about what kind of man he was.

Hello all -

I saw there was a planned flash mob dance to honor my father, Pat Morris. The words to express my gratitude for this are not found in any language, I could not spend the rest of my life sharing thanks equalling how I truly feel for this. Thank you to each person that danced, enjoyed this festival, thought of my father, had a cold one for him or even told his many stories. He was there, dancing that arm jig until the last song was played. Thank you for being there with him.

If anyone has photos, videos or even stories to share please, please, please send them. Thank you again, so very much.

kathrynemorris@yahoo.com

or search my dad's facebook - Pat Morris Memorial and tag them. Thank you again so very much. Let the music play, the dancing feet tap and the soul rejoice in peace.
