Is the Telluride Bluegrass Festival really sold out or is it just the $195 price that's sold out?  Will more tickets be released?

Single day tickets will be released sometime this spring. But all the four day tickets are gone.

They will also release returned tickets on Tuesday on the PB website.  So keep checking the website.  You can also usually find stuff on the ticket trade board.

We don't usually begin receiving many ticket returns until we get close to the refund deadline (May 4, 2012).  So to save you from checking every week all winter long, we won't begin re-selling any tickets on the "Returned Ticket Resale" until April.

Hey Brian,

I wonder if there's gonna be a way to limit scalpers from buying a ton of the returned tickets in April. I'm lucky enough to have gotten enough tickets for my group and potentially 1 or 2 extras (depending on a couple of undecideds) and I would hate to return them to PB just have to scalpers get their hands on them.

Probably my best bet will be to sell them on the forum (for face value of course) but I wonder if there's any way to safeguard against scalpers this time around.  Just a thought, obviously you guys at PB have probably spent way too long discussing how to foil scalpers.

Maybe people who buy returned tickets must pick them up at will-call only and must get a wristband put on their wrists immediately so there's no more resale?  Perhaps "day of" transfers could be done on a case-by-case basis, rather than having transferable tickets floating around that are as good as cash?

Thanks for all your hard work!

Went to edit but deleted my last post...whoops!   :)

Not sure what is meant by "lottery" (I don't think any 4 day tix were sold via lottery?)...that is confusing.  huh   But after holiday and advance allotments sold out, guess that's when the $260 price tag kicked in?  Hope that is what is meant.

I'm having a hard time figuring out the question you're trying to answer...but you are correct in your statement.

Holiday Priced tickets: $165
Advanced Priced Tickets: $195
Regular Priced Tickets: $260 (these were sold in the single day ticket lottery.)

Does that answer the question? Looking

Looks like the question I was trying to answer was in a post deleted by it's author.  Swear I'm not making that up!   LOL
