Anyone know if you can rent tubes inside the venue for floating the river at Rockygrass?  Hoping to have my daughter and her friend entertained.  Thanks.

You can't rent them inside the festival but you can buy them for 10-15 dollars right across the street from the festival entrance.  They're mandatory if it's hot!

You could always find another family with tubes and borrow some.  I know I have lent ours out when the kids aren't using them.  Just replace what pops.

Pretty optimistic to think there will be a 'tubable' St Vrain by RG...

there you are again on the forum Pat in Dairyland.  Tell your daughter that the oboe is a great bluegrass instrument - that many of the older guys had them before switching to Martins...

Re the river, has anyone heard if it should be high enough to float this year?  That's a big deal.

Let's try to hook up. I am planing on bringing some tubes I picked up last year.  Some of the camper's last year just left there tube's when they left. So I'll just let you guy's borrow a couple of them if you want.

OK, do I just run around the festival yelling "skyrunner!  skyrunner!" until somebody answers (you) or until somebody shoots me?  Or maybe I wear a nametag: "Hello, My Name Is Rapids Rock" and wait for you to find me or for somebody to shoot me?  Or will you just find me and shoot me?

Seriously, I'll be on-site but at the academy and will need a tube a'fore the festival begins

Or, you could just stop by my camp sight. I am at Meadow park, will be setting up near the front gates.  I will have the solar powered phone charging station. If all else fails they do have a note board by will call.

I plan on bringing a few of these this year. They are tough and will withstand the rocks and river debris better than the inner tube style sold at the garages. Plus, they are not black and shouldn't get nearly as hot!

OK, I just dug out all 5 inner-tubes that I picked up off the ground last year. I will have out for people to borrow, you can use what others left. Wink They are the plain black ones though. I will try to set up my camp somewhere close to the front gates,at Meadow Park. Just look for the solar panels. Wave

I just saw $20 River Rat tubes at BIG 5 sporting goods in Denver,  Might last a little longer than the $15 version across the street?

Looked pretty low when we set up on Sunday, so keep your tail up.  :)
