Oh, and a return visit by RRE would be cool too.

I'd never seen them before last year's fest, and was really looking forward to it, having heard so much about them.  It really ended up being a snooze for me though...sounded like they just played one song for a couple of hours.

So i'm torn between hoping I get the chance to give them another chance someday, and just being done with them.

I agree; I was actually looking forward to them, but I thought their show was really quite boring.  I'll have to give the show another listen eventually, but the whole thing just seemed to lack energy.

I'll admit that I've had some of these same thoughts after a couple of of their shows.  I think sometimes their setlists leave something to be desired.  That said, give them another chance.  They are really very talented.  The 11/18/2011 show was one of the best I've seen.

I'll definitely see them again if the opportunity arises, but honestly, if it came down to a choice between a band that I *know* is going to put on an enjoyable show, and one that may put on an excellent show or might phone it in, I think I'd go with the known quantity.

I thought Railroad Earth had a great set at Telluride in 2011. That said, I would be surprised if they were to be on the 2012 lineup given how often they've played there of late.

I think Salmon is due for a return in 2012 and I wouldn't be surprised if Craig and the gang pull out a crazy and new headliner for Saturday night (assuming Salmon gets the Friday slot).

I still would love to see Grace Potter and the Nocturnals at Telluride.  I think they would make a great Thursday night closer.  It would remind me of my second year, when Bonnie Raitt played that slot.

The Deadly Gentlemen ... Matt Barnett is siiiiick!! Dehlia Low and the Duhks and Case Driessen sitting in at Pisgah Brewing was one of the best concerts I've seen in recent memory, so all of them would also be welcome for me!

A little off the beaten path, but here it goes:

Paul McCartney
Mumford & Sons
Yonder Mtn.
Del McCoury Band
Elephant Revival
The Avett Brothers
Blind Pilot
David Grisman
Old and In the Grey
Arcade Fire
Sarah Watkins
Pert Near Sandstone
Van Morrison
Punch Brothers
Ben Folds

Not all of those non-bluegrass bands in one year, but I'd love to see two of them this year.

You'll most likely get at least two of them every year. Yonder has been coming every year for 12 or 13 years now and The Punch Brothers seem to be there every year, too. So, both of them will likely return.

Doesn't Salmon have a new recording coming out?  :) Food for thought.

One of my pet peeves is people calling them The Punch Brothers. Wink

Yeah, you better find a new camp for next year. Too embarrassing to have you anymore.  Wink
