If I saw Yo Yo ma up there on stage with Goat Rodeo I would really think I was on something.  Wink He's probably already booked for Tanglewood...or Hollywood Bowl...or something.

I second Carrie Rodriguez! Heard her sing and play fiddle backup with Jeff Bridge's Crazy Heart tour last summer- wow what a pleasant surprise. Whether harmony or solo she is definitely a newer and fresher Emmylou(though Emmylou is still an all-time fave)

Aiming for 3rd TBF in 2012!

Yo Yo Ma and friends for Sunday morning.

I'd like to have Mike Marshall or David Grisman back, but the TBF is always up against their Mandolin Symposium the next week.  Early Thursday might fit into their schedules.

You know, it's been a fair number of years since we've had Ryan Shupe put a grin on our faces.

Mayhaps it's time we get goofy with him again

How about a little Wailin' Jennys to warm up the crowd for The Goat Rodeo on Sunday morning?

Sounds like a perfect Father's Day line up to me, and I'm sure my dad will agree.  Flower

...just sayin'. Chatham County Line has it going on in many different ways. I would be psyched to see them added to the 2012 lineup.

A few folks mentioned Carrie Rodriguez and I think she'd be great at TBF. Also she could back up Alejandro Escovedo if you hired him. Chatham County Line would rock the Shellman too!   Rockin

Ahh...not small, just a quiet constituency, much like the Jennys.  Wink

Perhaps we the people of the Jennys need to work on our vocal levels...but not too loud, eh, I want to hear the singing!   LOL LOL

In 2008 when they played Telluride, they made it hail!
It was awesome.

And, yes, votes for Goat Rodeo and Wailin Jennys

It would be great to have a "story hour" on Sunday morning with Todd Snider. Saw him in Minneapolis last night - - what a gifted and funny singer/songwriter/storyteller.

2 requests:

1.  Todd Snider withOUT the marshmallow fight.

2.  That most of us veterans get TP tickets in the lottery so we don't have to go thru the begging and worrying.

I think it might be time for my full list:

Larkin Poe - These girls can rock. Even without the oldest Lovell sister, the other two are still pretty amazing.

Tony Furtado - Needs no explanation

Leftover Salmon - The show they did in Missoula this past August was fantastic.

Darrell Scott - I don't care if he was just here last summer, one can never have too much Darrell

David Mayfield Parade - The former Cadillac Sky guitarist's new project is pretty great.

New Grass Revival - I'm always hopeful for a NGR revival.

Pat Flynn - Whether he's playing with NGR or a solo set.

John Cowan - If he's still touring with The Doobie Brothers, I'd say it's worth booking the Doobies just to make sure we can John back.

Great American Taxi - We've had Emmitt-Nershi, maybe it's time for Vince's other band to play for us.

(speaking of Nershi)
String Cheese Incident - They've been back together for too long to have not played TBF again.

The Acoustic Syndicate - They tore up the stage at River City Roots

White Water Ramble - I adore these guys. They're energy reminds me of Leftover Salmon.

Toubabe Krewe - These guys could be a fun act to throw in. Great music.

Matisyahu - I still think he'd be a fun Saturday night closer.

Darrell Scott - As I said before, you ca never have too much Darrell Scott

Spencer Boehren - He's a pretty awesome blues/roots musician and a buddy of Tim. Might make a fun duo.

Bepp Gembetta - Dude's a pretty awesome Italian flatpicker. Good voice, too.

Del - He was missed this year. Who better to represent traditional Bluegrass at TBF then Del?

New Grange - I just found out this project existed when I found the album at a Borders going out of bussiness sale. It's AWESOME!!!!! (Tim O'Brien, Todd Phillips, Mike Marshall, Darol Anger, Allison Brown, and Phillip Aberg).

Hot Rize - Needs no explanation.

Further - Please!

And now for the three artists I already asked for (just so i's all together)

Willie Nelson - He was beyond amazing in Missoula this August.

Leon Russell - Similarly amazing in Missoula.

Ricky Skaggs - It's just time to get him back.
