Did anyone record the Tim O'Brien/Kevin Burke performance during Lalagay and Dayton's wedding celebration at Camp Run A Muck? Another magic moment at Telluride. A nice performance from Daniel and Mark as well and the cake was tasty too!  Thumbs Up Glad I was wearing sunglasses cuz I got a little misty eyed and congrats to Lalagay and Dayton!

Heck with quote misty eyed quote
I was able to openly weep. This may have been my top Telluride moment. Gentle on my mind was over the top, recordings can never exceed that moment. Recordings of Tim exist, recordings of the rest of the afternoon are spotty at best. Be patient something will come forth from your intrepid taping crew.

I too was glad to be wearing shades.  We rode down the gondola under the full moon with the newliweds after the kickoff show, and I expressed that the whole thing was almost too much to bear.  It could not have been better.  And I agree the cake was excellent.  I also especially enjoyed the Burke solo and the dancing.  It was really cool of them to come play in the tent.

I agree with Hippie, this may have been my festival highlight.  It was an honor to be a part of this celebration.  Congrats again to Dayton & Lalagay!

Definitely a highlight for me!  I was gushing like a teenager at a Gaga concert.  Thanks so much, Hippie, for this experience.  Flower

Truly the most amazing surprise and the most beautiful wedding gift we could receive!!!!
I still can't quite believe it happened actually!  EEK! LOL
Words fail to express how much me and Dayton appreciated it, so I'll just say thank you from the bottom of my heart  :hug

It's knowin' that your door is always open
And your path is free to walk
That makes me tend to leave my sleepin' bag
Rolled up and stashed behind your couch
And it's knowin' I'm not shackled
By forgotten words and bonds
And the ink stains that have dried upon some line
That keeps you in the back roads
By the rivers of my memory
That keeps you ever gentle on my mind

It's not clingin' to the rocks and ivy
Planted on their columns now that bind me
Or something that somebody said because
They thought we fit together walkin'
It's just knowing that the world
Will not be cursing or forgiving
When I walk along some railroad track and find
That you're movin' on the back roads
By the rivers of my memory
And for hours you're just gentle on my mind

Though the wheat fields and the clothes lines
And the junkyards and the highways come between us
And some other woman's cryin' to her mother
'cause she turned and I was gone
I still might run in silence
Tears of joy might stain my face
And the summer sun might burn me till I'm blind
But not to where I cannot see
You walkin' on the back roads
By the rivers flowin' gentle on my mind

I dip my cup of soup back from a gurglin' cracklin' cauldron
In some train yard
My beard a rustlin' coal pile
And a dirty hat pulled low across my face
Through cupped hands 'round a tin can
I pretend to hold you to my breast and find
That you're waitin' from the back roads
By the rivers of my memory
Ever smilin', ever gentle on my mind

And if anyone has some pictures of the event, I'd love to have a copy since I forgot my camera  Frown
