It was in the middle of Mumford and Sons, I was drenched and cold. I ran to the condo hooked up my ipod speaker to my laptop started streamin the set on KOTO started the fireplace, took a hot shower, put on dry clothes, had a cocktail, looked up the sky opened up and back I flew to see the final set, Robert Plant. WOW what an exciting night. Medal Medal Medal

Dennis- "sittin" in the tarp line: eating rumballs, meeting people, pickin with T and Durango Dave, trying to be the last to fall asleep.

Ty- Seeing Sam Bush play and picking with Dwane from the Tiki Bar. :)

Molly- making new friends: Nisa, Sara, Ruby, Essie, Isabella, Patrick  Wave

Kim- Dancing with the family when Sam Bush played Circles Around Me, meeting all the Muckers, crunchy frog!

I do have to say after a few months of reflection, that Robert Plant and The Band Of Joy revived me, shook me, suprised me...

Just when I thought the thrill was gone (gee  huh is this what mature means Rolleyes, hope not LOL),

 BAMMMM! Just like that, first song, goosebump city.

Getting to meet all the Run A Muckers and being welcomed so warmly into their family. Being my fourth year at festival, my second in Town Park, but my first flying solo, that made a pretty big impression on me. I couldn't have asked for a better experience this year.

This moment in time, right before fest tickets and lineup info start flowing, I get this knot in my belly with antisipation, excitment. Each year a little bit older and a bit harder on the body. I keep thinkin, maybe this year I should hang back. But NNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOoooooooooooooooooo, here I am, searchin for lineup clues. I am a full fledged TBF kinda gal. Till death do us part Cheers

I don't have any memories to share just yet and I apologize if this isn't the right forum...but I have no doubt that I will after this year. I have waited for soooooo many years to come to this festival that I can't even express to all of you how much it means to me. You have no idea! I am completely beside myself just knowing that I can finally be a part of something that means so much to me. I love bluegrass more than you can possibly imagine and I feel so lucky to finally have the opportunity to take part in what I love so much. I am so excited to come meet everyone and be around people that share my love for bluegrass. If I had to rate this it would absolutely be #1 on my "bucket list". I can't wait to be there and to meet my new friends who share this excitement! I realize this all sounds a bit ridiculous but I am so unbelievably excited to know that I will be there this year after so many years of trying and not being able to make it happen. There is nothing better than the best bluegrass the world has to offer in one of the most beautiful places in Colorado and there is no way in this world that it gets any better than that.....See you there! Woohoo!

You know what is so incredably cool. Almost every song I heard on  Spectrum yesterday, I would think,  seen em, heard that live. Every time another song would play that I had heard at TBF it would bring back the summer in TBF flashbacks. Totally injected into my soul at this point....

Well my best are still being made each year!  My worst is trying to get a dang pass before stub hub and ebayers scoop em up. Oh and cracked dried up crusty Chaco feet :) but then again maybe it falls under good memories!  Can we leave yet?
