We've got three cars for our crew.  One pass for in town.  I understand the other two will need to park elsewhere.  Anyone got the breakdown on parking?   Thanks in advance, can't wait to hit the road.

Sorry if this was somewhere else in the forum.  I looked through about 12 pages and didn't see anything.

You didn't mention arrival day... Parking is most generous in Mountain Village. Very limited parking is in town... Also, sometimes you can pay to play in the lot nearest to the post office/main gate. One thing for certain, you will directed to park somewhere's else!

Similar question... I have a friend planning on arriving very late Friday night (midnight or 1AM)... Are they going to have people out and about at that hour to direct him to available parking?

Festival staffing runs 24/7 over 5 days. Don't worry, at TBF there is allllllways someone there to tell you where to go! Evil Your friends will not be alone, festoes show up at all hours. Have FUN!

I guess I'm not completely clear on the parking situation. We're staying in Montrose and commuting on Thursday and Friday. It seems that we'll need to find festival parking on the outskirts of town. Are these parking lots free?

I'm not familiar with the area having never been before. Where would be the best place to park coming in from Montrose in the morning? How far would the walk be into the TBF from these lots? How often do the shuttles run?

Finally, and totally off topic, are non-video cameras allowed in? The flyer I got with my tickets said that video cameras aren't allowed but what if my digital SLR can take video clips, is that ok to bring in with me?

Thanks in advance for taking the time to read and hopefully answer these questions. Peace!

Hi there..  Wave

You will need to drive to Mountain Village Thursday and Friday morning and park in the free parking garage. You will then ride the free gondola into Telluride. The entrance to the festival is only a few blocks from where the gondola lets you off. I believe it also runs until 2am to get you back to your car each night.

Yes, you can bring in your non-video camera. Honestly, I'm not sure of what the rules are regarding the regular cameras that can also take video. I believe some of the artists may be opposed to video, which is probably the reason for the 'no video cameras' rule..

I like this one...

but unfortunately it gets truncated...perhaps the videographer was caught in the act by the TBF video police?

Thanks, that helped a lot. I've now got some idea of where I need to go to get in, almost a week early no less...

I won't be getting into Telluride until Saturday night.  I am a first timer and picked a hotel in Rico so will need parking for the nightgrass Avett Bros show. Is Mnt Village the best place and how late do the shows run? It is my understanding we take a gondola from mtn village?

Sorry lots of questions.  I will know more/better next year.
