I know it says that stakes longer then 6inches arent allowed but are we allowed to have shade tents over our tents for extra protection from the sun??!!

If anyone knows let me know!

of course, just no stakes longer than 6 inches. Why should you be concerned about shade? You're only gonna sleep in your tent, and it will be Dark, well maybe Wink

Or...situate the tent so the door is to the west.  Have a small tarp in your tent.  When the sun comes up, open the door and crawl halfway out with the tarp to protect you from dew.  You'll be cool for awhile longer, in the shade, and the bugs aren't bad in the morning.  Of course, if it's raining or snowing you won't have to worry about the sun.  Another bonus:  Makes for great wookie-type photos.
