Hello to all. I'm new on the forum and thought I'd post my sad tale.... My sister and I come every other year with our spinning wheels and friends and love to chill, spin yarn and generally do the festivarian thing. But this year I didn't get a ticket before they were sold out!!! I organized our housing in January. But little did I know that not getting a ticket would be a possible scenario!!!

I've been keepin' my ears open but not much is surfacing. I ALMOST purchased tickets from a bogus craigslist posting. Good thing I felt suspicious!!! (BTW, there are bigtime scammers out there selling TBF passes. It really sucks.)

Okay, back to the issue at hand.... So I may be coming and spend absolutely NO time on the festival grounds. Weird, I know. Wondering if festivarians have any suggestions for their favorite things to do "off the grounds"?????

There is plenty of free music outside of the festival grounds.  The small park in town has "workshop" concerts featuring many of the big names from the main stage.  And random musicians play in the streets quite often.  Plus you can hear the festival music from outside the venue.  You won't  be disappointed.  And I bet there will be tickets for sale due to friends having to cancel last minute.  Just ask around.  But don't pay over face value.  We hate that stuff!

Do not be afraid..... There are many tickets coming forth in the next few weeks. Check in with Planet Bluegraas Tuesdays at noon mountain time. They will list the returns then.

Many tickets will come available in the next few weeks, remember to only pay face value for them. I just realized that PayPal charges about $7.50 per ticket in bank fees. I'm happy to pay it so that we can keep our festivarian family together.

Relax, all will be well, we'll all be together in Telluride in about a month.

Thanks Tom... I knew you had my back. My typos seem to get longer as I age. Twenty years ago it was one word every now  & again. Ten years later a letter  left out. Now it's full blown missing or reversed letters and dropped words. Do I have Alzheimers?

There are also legit adds on the Denver Craigslist site.  You just have to monitor closely because they go fast.  However, if you really want tickets and are willing to watch it closely, you will find them at a reasonable price.

Thanks, all, for the helpful advice. I'm trying to keep my spirits up and have been thinking "Hey, well maybe it will be a new adventure... being at TBF without tickets. You just never know what will happen!" Good to know there might be some legit postings on Craigslist too. I just figure I'll end up sitting in Town Park for hours at a time!

Xing my fingers that I'll come across some returned tickets...

I'll be looking for the spinning sisters--I'm a knitter who doesn't know how to spin.  Good luck to you--hope you get those tickets!

Wave If you have "organized housing" thats half of the battle. Tickets will happen, just you wait and see!  Thumbs Up
Keep the faith, fellow festivarian. There's a ton of cool things going on... Cheers

Yep! We're the spinning sisters!!! Actually, we might have yet another spinner with us, but definitely two of our knittin' friends will be along. We've thought about making a flag with a crafting theme... but never get around to it. Plus, we always sit in the same general area, so are easy to find. I love watching peoples' faces as they see us and go "Whoa! What IS that thing?!?!?!" Kids are especially fascinated by it. Though they often try to poke their fingers in the moving parts....

Yes, keepin' the faith that TICKET WILL HAPPEN.
