Late last Friday night we announced the 10 finalists in this year's Telluride Troubadour songwriting contest.  After listening to nearly 400 entries from around the world, our panel of judges selected these finalists to perform during the festival - during the contest finals in Elks Park, in main stage tweeners, in-the-round sets at Elks Park, in-studio on KOTO, and one finalist performing a mini-set on their new Shanti guitar on the main stage at 5:45pm on Saturday...

    * Mai Bloomfield — Venice, California
    * Maya de Vitry — Lancaster, PA
    * Angela Easterling — Greenville, SC
    * Matt Harlan — Houston, TX
    * Kyle James Hauser — Boulder, CO
    * Zach Heckendorf — Denver, CO
    * Courtney Jones (The Getaway Girl) — Santa Cruz, CA
    * Pete Kartsounes — Boulder, CO
    * Kate Klim — Nashville, TN
    * Louise Mosrie — Nashville, TN
    * 1st Alternate: Rebecca Loebe — Atlanta, GA
    * 2nd Alternate: Paul Jacobsen — Salt Lake City, UT

Everyone be sure to come over to the tiki bar Camp Cascadia area for some Pete pickin. Especially at 2p on Tues and Wed for the Neil Young and Dead sets at Tiki. I just talked to him - he really wants a toe job before he goes into the competition  Evil

He has tons of live tunes for free download on archive.com and he'll be playing the NWString Summit this summer and the Camp Cascadia RainDance Oct 7-9, both at Horning's Hideout in Oregon.

Camp Cascadia would LOVE to host some of you festivarians up here.
