UJo - Eggs Benny was a one off two years ago for Jailhouse. Last I heard they still have the equipment for WanderIn & Annexed camps usage.

EDIT: Equipment has been downsized. Currently only one poacher set available for use.

I think you all know that "private" in TP means around 200 people!  EEK!
They do sound good though dont they?

I am a fine dining chef, so I will donate my skills (don't worry about poaching sets, just a big pot of almost simmering water and vinegar) and a whole mess of eggs.  I will also bring a bunch of fresh herbs from the garden to make a delightful herbed hollandaise.

And in response to the actual thread subject, I will also bring some homemade spicy bloody mix.

Iabluegrass........ I'm thinking we don't really want to go there again......... I think Useless was joking- it was quite a feat though......I don't know if you were there 2 years ago but we did pull-off.. Eggs Benny for 125 (?) in TP ....It was fun but  it was a lot of work............ It really "stressed out" the Jailhouse boys and they have some other concerns this year and that could put them over the edge.........
But, if you want to whip up some canapes to go with the Bloody's go for it....  I would love to try your spicy mix...we'll save that for a private tasting...LOL...

For the bloody party- we make the stuff 5-10 gallons at a time..LOL  What I really need are contributions of large cans of tomato juice, vodka, tabasco, lime juice, worcestshire sauce., celery, dilly beans Thanks

The Eggs Benedict was nice but, in my opinion, too extravagant and time-consuming to pull off regularly.  Those who put in the effort were champions but any group thingy should be less complex (too many ingredients).  A pancake breakfast would be way easier as a large group effort.

Regarding Bloody Mary's:

Debbie, put me down for a vodka, some mix, and jar of toppings/fixin's.  Also, maybe you should list desired ingredients for people to volunteer to bring and keep track of how many volunteers you have for each so you can push for more (or less) of certain items.  Do you want Worcestershire?  Tobasco?  Pepper?

The following is needed:

25 Large cans tomato juice
5 large bottles Vodka
5 large bottles of Lime juice
5 large bottles worcestershire sauce
5- 8 large bottles of Tabasco
5-7 jars of horseradish- not creamy
celery salt

fresh limes, celery, dilly beans, other garnishes

That will make about 25 gallons

The Eggs Benny for this year was a joke. LOL Although we did feed 175+ in 2009, and it was really good, it was way too time consuming. Pancakes and/or Burrittos are the way to go if doing a big group. I'd be happy to lend a helping hand but, not really in a place to organize etc. In other words let us know what to bring and when to be there.
