To all you camping pros...can you give me some advice on what I might need for camping out at the festival?  Not only am I a newbie to TBF, but I am fairly new to camping.  Thanks for any and all advice!

Mainly your normal camping supplies - if you're not used to the mountains in June, bring extra blankets and warm clothes - as soon as the sun goes down, it can get COLD!!!

what i always have with me.
baby wipes, lip balm, flashlight (one for tent and one for carrying with), multi-tool knife, two towels( one for bathing or swimming and one for the tent, i use it as a inside door mat and helps with cleaning and removing moisture and grass that gets in.) big hat (thats what my friends have told me, sun gets intense during day) sunscreen, pillow(always helps with feeling refreshed in morning) roll of paper towels, chair.

if i think of more i'll chime back in.

This is not a joke. The weather can, and does change in an instant in the canyon every year. Grapple (like snow cone ice) was the strangest  thing I've ever seen up there.. until the Land Rush Saturday storm last year. Hot, cold, hot, cold, cold, cold, rain & cold, rain, rain, rain & cold.... You get the picture.... and then it was beautiful for... FESTIVVVAAALLL!!!

Hey... other Five Year Town Park-ers like myself, Sarah, Hooch, Kerri, Daniela, Adam, ... any other fine details for the newbies on how to combat bad weather if need be?

A good rain coat/suit or poncho to stay dry. Nothing worse than getting wet AND cold. Frown
Plenty of DRY clothes to change into if you don't have protection. Thumbs Up

bacon, tarps, and LOW back chairs....nalgenes and spray bottles (for water in the hot sun) are useful too....

Yeah, all the cold & wet gear (and stakes for the tent & shelter) are necessary. But make sure you're stocked up on bacon. The burrito stand always seems to run out of it during the post tarp-run breakfast rush. Frown

This isn't necessarily essential... but if you will be camping somewhere without a lot of natural shade from the trees, it's nice to bring some sort of shade canopy to escape the sun if it's really hot at camp (without having to crawl into your tent). If you don't have one, you can definitely find neighbors to share. Not essential, just some food for thought!
And warm layers are essential! Someone else said it below, but when the sun goes down, the temperature drops pretty quickly!
