Hi all! I live near lyons (lefthand), but this will be my first rockygrass!! Cheers Being so close we have been planning on just biking in/out, but i'm starting to rethink that now... Concerns:

1) Safety on the ride home. Maybe a bad idea to share 36 with tipsy boulderites heading home? we'd be lit up (as in Halogen, not Pipe!), but still...
2)Hanging out in lyons after. WOuld we still be able to cruise around to any of the camping areas after the bands for some pickin if we dont have a camping pass? I'm actually volunteering, but doubt that'll get me VIP access LOL

Anybody have an informed opinion on the idea? I just cant see leavin the dogs at a kennel just so i can go camping 5 miles from my house...

I can't really speak to the safety concerns of your trip (though I think your concerns are valid for the return trip)

I can tell you that without the appropriate camping pass you will not be allowed access to the campgrounds.

Sorry.
