I, for one, would like to see the showers improve significantly.  I only had
one decent shower the whole time I was there.

At Grand Targhee last Summer, the promoters rented a trailer that had
3 men's showers and 3 women's showers, using a large propane tank
for the hot water.  The showers and sinks were also spotless too!

If having better facilities means tacking on $10-$20 to a Town Park ticket,
I am all for it 100%

Unfortunately that notion was wrong this year - believe me.  There were problems with the Town Park bathrooms until Sunday --- out of character for TBF and unacceptable from a camper's perspective.  It was a topic at our camp throughout the weekend when we should have been discussing hikes, picking, and festivating.

Luckily we still managed to discuss hikes, picking, and festivating.  And luckily we had an outdoor camp shower that helped us wash off yesterday's festival dirt.   Thumbs Up

Bathroom maintenance was way off from what I've experienced over 11 PGB festivals.

wyeknot108 is 100% correct! Until Sunday, it did not matter what time you
hit the showers...the water was cold.  Not even lukewarm.

Again, I wish Planet Bluegrass would consider renting a shower trailer for
Telluride a la Grand Targhee.

Which ones?  I hit the red building...umm..I think it was Thursday afternoon...and had a nice "warm enough" shower

I saw one in the high School parking lot on my way out of town Tuesday morning.  I think it was probably for the Bicyclists who were on the way into town.  Nice to hear they work so well...

I was able to get a nice, hot shower every day all week.  Early in the week I went in early evening, usually no one else was even there. Later when festival started, I went in mid-afternoon and never had to wait.  I get my stuff ready, put in 7 quarters, and when I step in the stall, put in the last quarter and I'm good to go. Maybe the festi-gods were smiling on me, or maybe I just have it figured out after 33 years. Wink

It was cold showers for me also. Seriously, the suggestion of a "tankless hot water heater" is NOT out of the question for the Town Park or Warner Field Bath Houses. If the cost were split between all the festivals held in Telluride this could happen very easily. Just a thought.

I agree, a full cleaning could have happened more often.

On the bright side, one of the toilets was "out of order" one evening in the ladies room, but by noon the next day both stalls were working much better than they had been since our arrival on the 12th.  Thumbs Up

The thing that I found funny (and I didn't check to see if anyone else mentioned this prior to my post) was the Pavilion bathroom schedule... open every morning for about 15 minutes... whether ya needed it or not.

OK, OK... so it was more than 15 mins, but wasn't it open for 45 mins at 6 AM or so.  ???  That was a head scratcher... seriously.
