You can't explain bacon. You just have to experience it, like an orgasm.  Sunshine with an egg, geez you really DON'T know do you? I can have bacon with bacon on top, and a bacon kicker for good measure. I don't know about you Aussies, you talk funny and you don't know bacon. I feel kinda sad for you.  Bacon is the national food of the USA.

WE talk funny? WE talk funny?

Ha ha ha ha ha ha

Sorry.

You kill me Cindy Lou.

OK, clearly bacon is a national treasure and given I’m in DC I need to find the Smithsonian Bacon Museum and learn more about it.

I have tried your bacon and it is definitely nicer than ours but, and I know I’m going to be controversial here, frankly your outstanding dish in my opinion isn’t bacon, it’s barbecue.  OMG that tender juicy delicious melt in the mouth brisket and beef ribs dripping with some kind of secret marinade. That is truly the food of the gods!

Bacon pretty good, Barbecue OUTSTANDING

Cannot wait to see everyone, so excited

I see your plan .... smoked meats, dripping with the nectar of love.  I'll have to check but I think we could run a Traeger on our solar.  If that's possible we could smoke several briskets and STILL comply with the stage 2 fire restrictions!

And now you will start the debate about KC style, Memphis, or Carolina; tomato base or vinegar base dry rub or no rub. BACON is easy, crispy or chewy. I like crispy. And yea, ya'll talk funny cuz they started talking out the corner of the mouth so as to not have to open the mouth real wide lest a bug fly in!  LOL I was an Okie, everybody talks funny there. Even the cats say me-ow, and the dogs say wuf. Kitty Kitty :dog :dog :dog :dog :dog :sorry :dance :hug

BBQ can include bacon, such as the popular around Tulsa Burn Co. dish called "The Fatty" one butterflied pork tenderloin stuffed sausage into center and rolled then wrapped in a lattice of woven bacon, and smoked on a Hasty.  :burn MMMMMM

Yours might be better Lorax, but mine's not bad and I have 24 lbs!  :pig

I think 24 lbs is only half of what you brought last year!  LOL

Saw this when I checked my mail. Thought immediately of this thread. Plus we had bacon wrapped pork for dinner tonight. And, we're about to go have beers with Bevin. Funny thing is I picked up a Jaw Harp for him last week, not knowing he'd be in Tulsa today. I get to surprise him with it in 30 minutes. Hopefully he'll master it by June and have some funky jams in Duk Tape!

Seriously, the bacon we had in Duk Tape was the best bacon I have ever eaten in my life.

I could never understand why you folk in the US go on and on and on about bacon until I ate North American bacon.

It’s exquisite.

We do lots of things really well but bacon? You blow us out of the water.
