In case you're like me and tend to visit the TBF forum instead of the General Discussion forum, you might have missed the email scam/spam that's going around.  It SAYS it's from Planet@bluegrass.com but it is NOT.

DO NOT OPEN THIS - there's a virus contained in the email.  If you DO open it, malaware should take care of it.

I thought that looked a little strange.

Thanks for posting that here--I just logged on to see if something was posted about this.

Cheers!

Aw, does that mean the email sitting in my inbox from 'jerry@jerrydouglas.com' offering a free signed dobro, plus 40 Viagra is a virus, too?

 LOL

Ok, just so Planet Bluegrass knows they are not alone in this crap, I have received two other e-mails about e-mail systems being hacked.

One was from Kroger and the other from US Bank.

Seems it's traveling through the "big time" circles!

Planet Bluegrass is definitely not alone in this. Part of my day job brings me into contact with these types of issues on a regular basis, and the best in the industry get hacked from time to time. One of our customers whose whole business is based on providing a secure environment for software developers to host their applications on was recently hacked, and it brought their business down to screeching halt for hours. It didn't have a material impact on their bottom line though, because everyone understands that *every* application has holes.

It happens. Kudos to PB for handling it with transparency.
