Hey all, I got this idea while checking out the Telluride Flash Mob thread..... go check out the "Angeline, you baker" post for more details on that  Thumbs Up

A "FREEZE" is when a large number of people in an ordinary setting suddenly FREEZE at exactly the same time, in whatever position/activity they are in.  Everyone remains Frozen for five minutes while everyone else not involved stands around looking puzzled, trying to figure out whats going on, and wondering if that special brownie just caused time to stop  Flower  Then suddenly everyone becomes unfrozen and goes back to dancing/tying their shoes/taking a picture/hula-hooping/etc and it's all over.

My goal is to get as many people as possible, so spread the word!  We might be able to prank a band as well, if the entire crowd stops dancing suddenly.  Who's in?

Check out this video of a FREEZE in Grand Central Station: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jwMj3PJDxuo

Stay tuned for more details, as well as info on a specific meeting point the morning of the freeze to give out instructions and to synchronize watches  Medal

Cheers!  Cheers

I dig it! Count me in... I'll volunteer to be on the "Freeze Street Team" to spread the word about the timing!

Fun idea!

brings back memories of summer camp:  "freeze" was the method to determine who had to get up and get the rag to clean the table at the end of a meal.   A counselor would suddenly say "freeze" and the first one to move was ragman.  It eventually got banned because kids were soooo into it that it would last for a long time with other kids/counselors from other tables coming over trying to make jokes and what not to get kids to move.

Now freezing is something I can actually do.  There will be like 10-15 people in our group this year.  I will go ahead and assume that freezing is also one of their talents.

I'm just concerned that it'll be hard for so many people to stay frozen with such awesome music playing..... I know when it gets into my bones and rocks my soul I can't help but dance.  Ah well we'll give it a shot!
