Try posting this in the Rocky Grass Academy section. You're more likely to get a response there.

Your Academy pass includes camping during the Academy on site here on the ranch. If you'd like to stay in your spot for the festival, you'll need an additional "On Site Camping Pass" for RockyGrass.

If that doesn't make sense, and you are still confused, give us a call and we'll explain it. Sometimes it's a bit easier over the phone.

Still trying to figure out the whole RGA/RG camping thing ...

So, is it better to camp with vehicle at RGA and through the festival, or better to camp without a vehicle altogether? Do you camp in a different area even during RGA if you have the RG vehicle pass and are staying put through the festival? I'm trying to decide whether to buy a vehicle pass from someone and am trying also to figure out all the angles. I'll be there with my 7-year-old (in the kids' academy) and we are novice campers, if that makes a difference one way or another.

The car doesn't really come into play unless you have the vehicle pass. If you're not staying IN your vehicle, it's not that convenient to have your vehicle. You don't camp in a "different spot", though a majority of vehicles do end up in the south end of the campground (only a couple hundred feet from the "heart" of the campground). Your car is stuck through the duration of the event, generally speaking. Feel free to give us a call if you want more clarification.

As long as your pop-up is 21' or less, you can have your pop-up at the Academy. You will have to move it if you are planning to stay for the festival unless you have an on-site vehicle pass.

Correct.

Just to clarify...you do have an on site camping pass for RockyGrass (and might have an on site vehicle pass for the festival)...correct?
