I paid the $5 surcharge for my transportation burden on the planet, and now I'm wondering if there is any carpooling going on. Specifically, are there any Denverites heading down to Telluride for the bluegrass festival? I am flying to Denver from Missouri, and I will be starting a hike down the Colrado Trail from Denver after I go down to Telluride for the bluegrass festival. I would really like to not rent a car and drive down all by myself when I could be green and ride with someone.

As we get closer to festival and people know for sure what their plans are (dates and how much room they'll have and what not), post something in the hitching a ride section of the forum. Don't wait too long though. Good Luck Cheers

Thanks for the advice. I won't take up much room -- just me and a backpack. Wave

Your Transportation needs are well respected.  Thumbs Up

Simply head on over to The Hitch a Ride area where you can be the first human to look for a ride to Festival!

You'll find a ride, I'm sure of that  Thumbs Up
My carpooling experience at my first TBF in 2009 turned out to be beginning of a great festival tradition and much much more...   Cheers
Just post in the hitch a ride section and the closer we get to FESTIVAAAAAAAALLLL, the more like minded people you'll find there!  :)

I'm sure car pooling would be preferred, but I believe Greyhound to Telluride from Denver is now an option ... I think it stops a the Conoco at Society turn.

Last year I was sorta 'on the road' in Colorado in the weeks leading up to the fest. I actually found a ride to the festival from Denver thru Craigslist.. I ended up riding with an awesome girl..
 Thumbs Up
Once I got to Town Park, I put up two signs looking for a ride back home to Phoenix, one on the bulletin board by the box office and the other on the main bath house.. Sure enough, these two awesome festivarians were heading toward Az, the only problem is that they were stopping for a day/nite at the Grand Canyon.. Boy, that little 'detour' was an incredibly amazing ending to an already stellar trip!!
