Speaking of the Decemberists, Sara Watkins just announced that she'll be performing with the Decemberists all year long, adding her fiddle and voice to their live sound.

We're all hooked on "The King Is Dead" - it's been on continuous play in our office.  Such a good album.

Wow! I just realized Colin Meloy started a band in Missoula that played around town for a few years called Tarkio. I always wondered what happened to them? now I know, he moved to Portland and started the Decemberists!

I used to know the drummer from his high school band. MT is too cool. I also know the guy who went to prom with his sister. They really aren't exaggerating with the six degrees of separation or that everyone know everybody in MT. LOL

OK, why am I always the last to be enlightened.......
these Decemberists are really great, timeless, new and fresh, yet familiar....to my ears
been listening to this King is Dead album all week and I'm hearing it......
So I think it would be great if "The King" sat in for a few songs,
somesamandolin would take it completely over the top!!!!!!
