I have collected the hats for the four years i have worked and last years hat was the same as the year before it (slight change in color) and this was a bummer. I feel the volunteer hats should vary more than that.  maybe its just cause I collect them but i mean come'on. Long live diversity

I'm just happy that we get hats. I have a closet full of volunteer t-shirts from other events that never get worn. and really like the style of the last 2 years hats as opposed to standard issue ball caps. maybe just a change of color.

I could be wrong, but I think having the generic volunteer hat makes it so they can be used for volunteers at all their festivals...I'd imagine this cuts down on waste, or at least a backstock of last years TBF/ROckygrass/folksfest Volunteer hats (and what do you do with all of those??). In turn this saves money, which could be why we got the sweet new design instead of the classic baseball style.

that being said, I totally think it would be cool to have something unique to the festival you volunteered at...what about a pin or a patch that could be sewn on to the hat?? just a thought...

We switch up the hats most years...but last year there was an issue with stock quantity. We wanted to keep with the same hat style because it's a lightweight and breathable material that keeps folks from overheating too easily. (not sure where you guys volunteer, but some folks are in the middle of the sun for 8 hours at a time...)

The Hats are an easy way for our volunteers (you guys) to be spotted by someone who may be in need of your assistance.

I'm not saying hats will be the thing every year, but they are really working out for us at the moment...

I'll try to get new hat colors this year, but I can't promise anything. Flower

I did try to switch up the stitching colors last year to keep it fresh for those of you collecting the hats. I suppose that didn't cut it. Frown

you guys rock first of all and no matter what the hat looks like it will bring back dear memories which is what im really looking for and I cant stress enough how hard every person involved with TBF works. yeah the material really is awesome for the high altitude sun i was working at lawson and it was hot so it was appropriate beyond imaginable. Through these hats I have met many of people that I consider family now so thanks for being so damn legitimate. if you can spot someone in a different state with the telluride volunteer hat on then more than less that person is going to be genuine and kind just like everyone else that attends the best festival in the world!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THANK YOU

Wave I have a great idea here. Did you folks ever see the PBG stickers, they rock. I say keep the hats the same every year and in addition give an embroidered patch of service for each year to collect or sew to your cap...we luuuuvvv to collect PBG memerabillia Flower

Not sure if that's cost effective however Flower
