" The drink started out tasting more like ham than pork. "

uh, ham IS pork.  I just thought that was a funny statement, even though I understand the meaning behind it.  :pig

Have you had any of my Maple Bacon coffee?   Coffee It's pretty tasty.  This soda sounds like it might be something to investigate though.  My old man drinks Jones Cola anyway, so I'll keep an eye out for it.  I know some people who don't drink coffee in the morning, but instead pop open a Coke or Pepsi,  so maybe this will be an alternative for them.

We should have a serious discussion about it being a "bacon only" festival this year!!  If it ain't got bacon then it ain't coming into camp!

And can you just hear the security personnel checking bags..."I'm sorry sir, you don't have enough bacon products in your backpack to be allowed into the festival grounds."

I like where you're going with this Hooch!

Now here's my thought...would it be a flat amount of bacon required by everyone? Or would it be proportional to the festivarians' weight? say, you're required to bring at least 10% of your body weight in bacon...

Okay, I've been thinking about this for like an hour.  I'm not sure if I can come up with a fair 'bacon quotient' since different people will consume different quantities of bacon but probably not proportional to their body weight (some of those little guys can really eat).  For now maybe we should take the "Circle of Life" Elton John approach of "never take more than you give" and just recommend everyone bring as much as they plan to eat plus a little extra to share.  I've made a lot of friends eating bacon.

So I can't help but think of the counterpart to the Lion King classic...The South Park Masterpiece - "The Circle of Poo"  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rzvHuSN61rw

Now I might be misinterpreting the message here, but maybe we're all bacon in some way...are you what you eat? Either way, I believe in the school of thought that there is no such thing as  quote too much bacon.

This might be Debbie and Hooch's school...By the way Debbie...I'll never forget your kindness last year! You're like a guardian angel  Angel of bacon!  Thumbs Up

We may have to scale up to Yellow Freight.  Oh...but I do know someone at FedEx Freight who can work us a deal on an 18-wheeler.  Hippie and I will need to get a head-count and I'll start tuning up the Run-A-Muck Baco-Meter to see if we can come up with a final requirement.  You may want to suggest to Beeler that they expand their bacon farm before springtime.

Thanks for that link, Matt. *barf*  That's not what I was aiming for exactly.  The festival porta-pot discussion is a different thread.

I don't want to hash up the whole situation again, because it had all the makings of a pre-festi downer...something I'm not that into!  But ultimately the good people of townpark prevailed and all was, and is well!

when our camp had all of our bacon go missing (that's right...missing. I didn't fry it and eat it in my sleep, there were no signs of DukTape Man or Blaze...gone and not consumed) you - Debbie from Tucson, Goddess of Bloodies, and Guardian Angel of Bacon! - unselfishly and kindly gave us a whole package of your friends high quality cured pork belly.

attached photo to help with the face...

thank you again!  you deserve a metal for that! Medal
