Pete Seeger.

(Now this might be more suited for Folks Fest, but I think we could all appreciate a great set from him up in the San Juans.)

I've been thinking about this a lot, so I'm just going to throw it out there; I think Matisyahu would make for an excellent curve-ball. He'd be great for a Saturday night closing set.

If I remember correctly, he doesn't play Saturdays... religious reasons.  :)

I do believe you are right. Well, I hesitate to say Friday night because I'm hoping for LoS to continue in that spot, but I'd be down for a Thursday night closing set.

I did a little research in my memory banks and online and discovered a few things. The Jewish Sabbath is from sundown Friday to sundown Saturday, so as long as his set was after the sun goes down Saturday night, he'd be okay with doing a Saturday set. It's Friday nights that he doesn't play (except for one in Anchorage, but that was because the sun didn't set until 2:00 AM).

What everyone said

and

Goose Creek Symphony

Did anybody say Steve Earle, James McMurtry, Guy Clark, Robert Earl Keen, Butch Hancock, Joe Ely, or Jimmie Dale Gilmore? Just get 'em all and call 'em the Flatlanders with Steve, James, and Guy.

If not I just did.  Wave

The Radiators with Leftover Salmon.    Cheers  They just played for free at the Concert at the Square.  I think those two bands would have such a great time together.  I'd love for them to be a double bill at the Mardi Gras Ball I go to.  That would be insane.  Just sayin....  Cheers

Anyone else thinking how great it would be to hear Bela Fleck with the Doobie Brothers? (featuring John Cowan, of course).

New guy just coming up named James Dupre.  His first record, produced by Jerry Douglas, was released back in February.  He's an EMT by day in Cajun country.  Really fine talent!  You will here more from this guy.  He's the real deal.
