This Friday, Saturday and Sunday, September 17-19, 2010, in beautiful, starting-to-get-cool, Bristol, Tennessee-Virginia.

 - The festival celebrates its 10th anniversary this year. 2001's inaugural event featured about 40 artists with attendance estimated at 7,500. Last year featured over 160 performers and the largest crowd ever - 32,000. FYI - traditional 10th anniversary gifts are tin or aluminum!  Cheers

 - BR&RR was presented with the Shining Example Award for events with less than 100,000 attendees by the Southeast Tourism Society last week at their fall meeting!  Medal

 - WCYB, Bristol's NBC affiliate, is featuring BR&RR performers all week on News5 At Noon, starting with Tazewell, Virginia's Jeanne, Jim and Jamen Denton - Wise Old River

Opening the State Line Bar & Grill for the weekend Friday at 6:15 and closing the Eatz Stage Saturday at 10 is native Hans Rotenberry's The Shazam with one of Little Steven's Coolest Songs In The World: "On The Airwaves"

I'm pretty sure it'll be the 3D flesh-and-blood The Shazam that will show!
