Not quite a newbie- I was at the 5th & 6th TBF (still have the t-shirts) when I was BLM’n in G-Springs and Montrose; 1st time back.  Then, I rolled into Town Park and threw my sleeping bag on the ground next to my truck.  A little different now, so I have been scouring the threads since we got TP  tix to figure out the routine.  We’ve been to many Nor Cal fests, so get the idea of fest camping, established camps, etc..  Here’s my plan, do I have it right?

1.  Get there hopefully Monday, maybe Tues; look for a spot, ask around.

2.  Unload bacon, beer, rolls of quarters, and all the camp-festi gear that will fit.  Pop-up type  shade is not space hogging, cause it shades the neighbors too.

3.  Stake, weight, tie, weld everything down so it doesn’t fly away.

4.  Maybe leave for a nite to see some of So. Co.; not frowned upon, just let the neighbors know what’s up. Return with more bacon.

5.  Festivate.

Any holes in this plan?  Whats the ice situation, will I wish I had a bike?

When you arrive give all your bacon to me personally to hold for you until it's needed.

Ice is available to purchase near the main bathrooms.

Come by camp Run-A-Muck for a shot of Crunchy Frog....if you dare!

As for ICE, there are even young teen boys who will take orders and deliver ice to your campsite...Come see Alex and Matthew camped in the pop-up across from the main bathrooms.

Jailhouse Rock!

 Thumbs Up
Bikes are a great thing to have, but if room for all the bacon makes it an issue, Jailhouse has a couple you may borrow. I have an original Fisher That will take on any of the trails or just a trip to town.  Thumbs Up
Just swing by the Jailhouse and say "Hey".  Cheers
Welcome back!

 Thumbs Up Welcome home...  Flower

Watch out for Hooch, he has plans for your bacon and it probably includes vodka. Better to keep it close. I'm looking forward to seeing you all.

JimmyJ, I think you will feel right at home again. Beer, Bacon, Crunchy Frog, shade. I think that covers it. The ruins down Cortez way are nice and a good day trip. See ya soon.  Flower
