I spent some time in Columbia. I'll be at MEI too. Solo trips to Tride can be lots of fun. Don't have to worry about anybodys shedule but your own. Watch for the illegal immigrant flag.

You really want to fly into Montrose. Durango or Grand Junction are also an option.
If not then try looking for a carpool from Boulder. There will be lots of folks coming from Boulder.

It gets real cold at night so be prepared!

Wave  Like Hope Lin said, you are on this forum, so even though you might travel to TBF solo, you are not alone.  You're with us now, and you can interpret that any way you like.  Wink  Cheers

Don't limit your UT gear. Bring it all.

Don't be scared of Hooch, you can take him, I have no doubt of that.

If you're not a fighter, just put some beggin strips in your pocket and throw them when he gets near. According to the commercials, they smell just like bacon, and I'm pretty sure Hooch can't read.

LibraryVolGirl.....You can wear orange as long as it's University of Florida orange (Go Gators!!!).  You and CSI Mike and Dustin can all try to gang up on me, but the only thing you three will be able to achieve from your combined UT diplomas is a free handicapped parking sticker.

Dustin....I can pretty much read if there are a lot of pictures and it's written in crayon!  And I think Beggin strips are VERY close to infamous "Turkey Bacon" so will do in a pinch...especially if it's free!  I'm not proud.

Well of course you got stomped!  CSI Mike has felt that pain many times.....like that one time when he kicked himself out of a bar during the UT/UF game....but I digress.  Anyway, you probably didn't go to the right place in Gainesville.  If you didn't have the Leonardo's Garlic Rolls then you really missed out.  They remind me of better days when my diet was mostly Wonder Bread and doughnuts.

My sister got her Masters at FSU and it got her a great job teaching future felons in the slums of Atlanta.  You've got to dream big!! (and carry a concealed weapon)

I highly suggest you bring bacon bandaids for the traditional Town Park Nighttime Trip-And-Fall event.

banjo-sorry for hijacking you thread!

as a lonesome rambler myself i'm wondering how its gonna work when i arrive @ tp? i know the vet camps have their locations. so i just haul myself, my mando and my tent to any open spot or cozy up to a camp (minus those with gator orange and/or other sec teams one from volunteer country shouldn't associate with-ha!)? do i need a sunshade?

Note to all UT grads:  I will be hosting a grammar seminar on Tuesday, June 15th in Town Park to explain the differences between "our" and "are".  I will be using visual aids (including small woodland creatures), and will speak slowly in a hillbilly drawl for clarity.  Moonshine will be served after the class.
