Thanks a lot, LuAnna. Sammy's youthful looks came across pretty well on-camera. And there he was, playing with those kids during the closing musical performance. I think they were out of Nashville, probably with a new album.
So Sam played some slide work on his mando-dobro. I bet Leno has no idea about who he is and what Sammy brings to the stage. It sure as heck was edited that way for the program that aired last night. I thought it made Leno look like a moron. Sam's name was never mentioned. If that is proper etiquette, I would argue it's actually BS protocol.
Leno is never shown shaking hands with Sam at the end. He doesn't even acknowledge Sam in any way, shape, or form. NBC is so pathetic. Some of Leno's best comedy material is when he mocks NBC during his monolog. No wonder Comcast is making their move to take over the NBC empire from General Electric, NBC's current owner.
But, I'm still a fighter, crusader, and advocate for Net Neutrality. So I oppose the Comcast merger and acquisition proposal to take over NBC. There's no doubt the NBC network, and all the NBC properties, would suffer immensely and become much worse than they are now. Comcast has recently been caught red-handed limiting bandwidth to its high-speed internet subscribers who were doing peer-to-peer networking. In other words, Comcast was censoring bandwidth to its customers who were using bit torrents and doing file sharing. Comcast got caught in the act of doing it, and they got caught lying about it. A lawsuit is pending, Hart v. Comcast of Alameda, No. 2:08-MD-1992-LDD.
peace, Monte
