I have a tascam DR 7 portable digital recorder with built in condenser mics.  While I get good results with this unit I have a problem with crowd noise sometimes.  Is there anyone who records at RockyGrass willing to let me plug in to their recorder?  I am willing to help carry equipment or do the tarp run for you.
