Hello fellow campers!

My friends and I will be experiencing our first year at Telluride (n00bs!) and unfortunately can only attend 2 days of the festival. We are looking at Lawson Hill Campground because it is allowing single day pass holders to camp there. Our question is if we can only camp there for the days which we go to the festival, or if (since we happen to be paying the same amount as 4 day festivarians) we can camp there all 4 days without attending the other two of the festival?

I don't mean to step on any toes; the 4 day experience would be soooo amazing but this is how our road trip is working out and I'm wondering if anyone knows the answer to our question.

Thank you so much and we  look forward to taking it all in!

Wave Yes, you can camp all 4 days at Lawson and only attend fest for 2 if you wish.
Does that answer your question M & M?

Make sure to check out the 2009 camper's handbook at the bottom of the camping ticket page. Sorry tried to copy paste but it didn't work.

Try this... The Telluride Camper's Handbook Link.

I did get boxes saying I needed to upgrade Adobe, but blew them off and had a very nice read. Now, Miki, where did you find the part to answer the question? I can't find it!!!  LOL Thumbs Up

This is what I found "  Camping at Lawson Hill for the 2010 Telluride Bluegrass Festival. This campground is tent camping only. This pass requires a single-day or 4-day festival pass" Flower

You can stay for the duration despite only attending the festival for two days (though I REALLY think you should reconsider...you're gonna have so much fun you're going to want to attend all four days).

Cheers

i agree. it might be tough to not attend the misic and still be in telluride. i must say, it's a fun little town with plenty to explore. browndog pizza will have the festi's music on most of the time,  Cheers but do think of trading in those two days for four!!  Flower

Thanks all for a quick reply!

I definitely DO need to convince my friend this will be everything and more so we can attend all 4 days.

And as I understand it, we drive into Telluride, park in a free, or small fee lot, and a shuttle then takes us to our campsite and back and forth from festivals?

close.

You'll drive to the campground and unload your stuff first.

Then the campground attendant will tell you where to park. It MIGHT be far enough away that you'll have to take the shuttle back to the campground.

From then on, the shuttle is your transportation to and from town/ the festival.

One point for your friends....

If you decide to stay attend even one extra day, you're missing out on a super deal with the 4-day pass. (the 4th day is only $5 when you buy a 4-day pass EEK!).

Cheers
