The following article is for all those folks out there like me who were wondering why the hell  Zach Brown band was on the Telluride stage:

And it's also for all those folks who thought that Zach Brown was the greatest thing since sliced bread.

and a festival at gulf shores, AL with Alisson Krauss, Black Crowes, Jerry Jeff Walker, and so many more...

opinions of zac brown band aside (i personally like him and their music) he sure does keep good company, and seems to be having a helluva spring coming up...
 Cheers

Last year my wife and I left the pickin tent set up at our camp and went to bed about 4 am. We were sleeping about 20 feet behind the pickin tent. All of a sudden we heard someone and right away we new he had to be someone. Sure enough the zac brown band had found the port o party pickin tent and used it to warm up for their next days show. Pretty good to get a free zac brown show with out having to leave the comfort of my sleeping bag

I would have gotten up and moved my tent...........""I thank god for my life, And for the stars and stripes, May freedom forever fly, let it ring, Salute the ones who died, And the ones that give their lives, so we don`t have to sacrifice, All the things we love, Like our chicken fried..."

I rather like that lyric...

It says something about those that sacrifice all they have in order to allow us to enjoy the little things in life, like our chicken fried.

livluv...I bet that was a treat. Zac is a good picker. He's not Bryan Sutton, but he's no slouch either. pickin

It was combined with all the other great pickers in that tent throughout the week and I felt very happy

I was forced through half of their set due to a rather large and long bloody nose that had me sitting in the medical tent for half an hour. I can't say i was happy about it.

Hi All,

Three Year attendee to TBF, first time poster. I could not let this go. First of all, while we stay in our camper and not in Town Park or Werner, I cannot say enough about how amazing everyone is at the festival. We love it. Zac Brown Band Rocks. Thanks so much TBF for having the band at Telluride. It is the way of life he is promoting in the song Chicken Fried, meaning how much we all love being able to live in a free country that allows us to drink a beer, eat fried chicken, have our radio on, or anything else we want. Yes, there are some bands I am not crazy about, but you know, I am all for keeping an open mind and learning to like new music. Kind of the TBF spirit. Please don't knock bands because you personally don't like them. Learn to open your mind!    Flower
