All I recall is that I always need about seven schedules, ten timepieces, and three people looking over my shoulder and deciding against food to go listen again.  At some point on Thursday, I know that time is shifting gears and I will wake up Sunday morning and pack my stuff into bags and boxes.  When the cosmic cleansing begins with the first set and tears of joy and sadness intermingle with the rising tide of energy, I think I love it the most when the most important things are sunscreen, water, and get a jacket before sunset.  I am amazed when the day is over and each set is as good as the one before.

Oh my. Gosh this looks like fun. I wanna play!

OK, the way I see it, there are only two real "certainties", Sam and Yonder.
Brian spilled the beans on Sarah. I'd say the Monks playing the "gospel" set is a pretty good bet.
I think previous clues in this thread suggest that Salmon will be taking up its semi-traditional spot closing Friday nite.

Hmm..... OK, so here's a big hint that should advance the ball.

Alison is playing Thursday.

Talk amongst yourselves.

:)

I'm doubtful the rest of the line up announcements will be high profile acts like an NGR reunion or an SCI show just based on the fact that I think most of the key time slots are probably already filled with the vast number of other high profile acts already in attendance (Del, AKUS, House Band, LoS, Hot Rize).  The only slot that might be open (at least from my perspective) is the preCloser slot for Friday (i.e. playing before Leftover).  I'd love to see Hot Rize get an hour and a half for this slot, but if they get an hour and fifteen during the day like they did last time they were there, it could theoretically be filled by someone like SCI.

I think AKUS are fantastic, but they are surely an afternoon set. Way, way, way too mellow to be playing after dark.

They aren't always mellow.  When they were there in 2007 they played Sunday night and it was a perfect festival closer.  I'm hoping to see them as the Thursday night closer this year.

I agree with NellyNell.  I think they would be a spell too mellow and much more well-suited for a late afternoon/early evening set. Cheers

Seriously?  Just because they are mellow they have to be afternoon?  Why?  As I said above, the last time they played TBF they were a 9-11 Sunday set.  The time before that too, if I recall correctly.  They definitely deserve a night set.

Just found this on the Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros MySpace site:

http://music.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=music.showDetails&friendid=41359391&Band_Show_ID=38606277

For those who don't want to click it, it says they are playing Saturday, June 19th, at 8pm. Do you think this is the case since that would mean that Sam is playing earlier or later (but not his traditional slot)?

What's going on here???  EEK!

I doubt Sam is going to be playing any time but his traditional slot.  In the past I've seen people list festival set times on their websites that are inaccurate.  I bet they just wanted to have a time slot listed and picked a random time.

I've never been to TBF when AKUS has played, but I can't really imagine AKUS playing anything but a night set.  And I would just have to guess that they would be saved for a later set in the fest, and the closer for any day but Thursday since they are one of the bigger names at the fest. Straying off just a bit, I would love to see maybe Gillian, Dave, and Ron Block at a songwriter's workshop.  Flower
