I wonder what everyone thinks about trying to get PB to change "Vehicle Pass" to "RV Pass" (or something like that)?

That way, while it wouldn't totally ban or eliminate those who get VPs only to park their car by their tent it might discourage them and it would hopefully open up more vehicle passes for those who actually want to use RV's or Campers.

I think this might have been suggested before amongst forum people but we have never tried to strongly urge PB to do it. How could we petition them for a change?

Comments please.

I think you just started the petition, EJ.  Thumbs Up

The Festivarians listed below respectfully request the wording "Vehicle Pass" be changed to "RV Pass" on The Planet Bluegrass Web site Camping Page.

Why not just start a poll?

I'm for the change! It's just confusing to the newbies that think it's a parking pass.

interesting idea, EJ.

Obviously it's a bit too late for this year.

I'll bring it up at the end of the year/ for next year.

Cheers

Thanks Dustin, It is a small change but might help with what is a sort of sore issue with many people. We acknowledge that if you win the ticket you can do what you want with it but there are many people who due to age, kids or other reasons actually need an RV and for people to pitch a tent and park a car beside it seems excessive. Having all the cars parked in TP also clogs it up for the service trucks who have to come and go every day. See what Craig and the staff thinks when next year rolls around. We will bring it up again after the festival. See you in June (with or  without a VP).

Cheers
Okay you guys! If we don't get a pass for Deb and family.....We don't get Bloody Mary's on Monday morning! Mad
And if I don't get my Bloody Mary's on Monday morning I am going to Stink Bomb every yuppy vehicle I see that did not need a vehicle pass!
 LOL  LOL  LOL  LOL
Just try to drive home in that car!
I you are camping in Town Park and don't have a RV, YOU DON'T NEED A VEHICLE PASS!  They let you in to unload your gear and then you take your car to secure parking. Should you need to get to your car during the fest, it is a short walk or there are tons of folks that will lend you a Bike!  Thumbs Up
So someone please give up that pass that you don't need so I can enjoy Deb's world famous Bloody Mary's! TP is not TP without them!
You will answer to the Jailhouse!  EEK!  EEK!  EEK!  EEK!
