Thanks Auntie Hope  Flower  !!! I try to have a good idea every now and again...figured this was a better show of girl power than having the Spice Girls reunite at TBF-although that could be rather interesting in itself  giggle

also diggin the Steve Martin thing...nothing better than a man with a sense of humor and a banjo  Thumbs Up

hmm...that is more of a conundrum than the chicken and the egg. huh

they undoubtedly go hand in hand because no serious man would pick up a banjo.

which is why no one likes a serious man  Wink

Saw "Band of Heathens" in Durango this last Sunday- very talented group.  The stage in Telluride wouldn't be too big for them.  (Just missed "Greensky Bluegrass" in DRO on Saturday.)

"Iron & Wine" would also be an excellent choice.

While neither of these bands are bluegrass, each would mesh well with the general vibe.

I am also curious about the Mark O'Connor thing... What happened? Will I never get the chance to see him play bluegrass in the flesh?  huh He was such an amazing fiddle player in the bluegrass world, I find it had to conceive he's left that path forever...

If I could have my way (ie if I had magical powers  Rolleyes LOL ) I would have a Telluride One Time Special House Band featuring Mark O'Connor, Tony Rice with his voice back and John Hartford.
Also, I want to see all my banjo heroes on stage together and an awesome all star jam with each one of them: Tony Trishka, Tony Furtado, Scott Vestal, Alison Brown, Pete Wernick and Bela Fleck (I wouldn't say no if Steve Martin wanted to pay tribute at some point too...  Flower )
And then Alison Krauss with the old Union Station formation (Adam Steffey, Alison Brown, Tim Stafford, Barry Bales) playing her old bluegrass numbers...
Ahhhhh, I guess I made it to Telluride around 20 years late...  EEK! LOL  LOL LOL

Bright shining faces with big smiles, more men in tutu's, warm and loving hearts, tolerance of others, a full moon, lots of hugs, a fast cold river, a hot scourchin sun, a watergun fight, a soft gentle rain and last but not least, some kickin music.  Cheers
