Jaihouse is good to go! We had Tommy's sister put in for us this year and she scored! Might have one extra, but not sure yet. Just glad to be able to start planning!

at night to drone out the party-ing and music making,

If you think you may want to drone out the party-ing and music making with a generator- Town park is probably not the right campground for you.

I agree with that. If you want quiet at night, I would suggest you go the condo camping route.

That's great Rob!  Let me know on that extra Flower; I also like to cook for the masses, although that has absolutely no bearing on a random lottery.  I just figure if I'm meant to be there, it always works out!  Always!
P.S.  where'd ya get that great oven?  I need one of those, unless I can use yours. Wink Wink

Do I sense oven envy?
Great news Rob. How many years in a row now for Jailhouse?

Totally new here, and while I am genuinely sorry to read about such dedicated long-time fans who didn't get into Town Park thorough the lottery, I get to thank the gods for beginners luck.  No vehicle pass, but 4 Town Park camping passes. (I need much education as to how to appropriately express our gratitude to these very special and unique gods)

Looking forward to learning from all of you who seem to be experts at making the most of this special experience.

Welcome to the maddness Curtis!
So, let's start from the beginning. Where ya hail from, Son? Do you like Banjer music and would you run towards or away from said music?

How ya feel about sleeping in a tent at 9000 feet above sea level at... about 30* F... O.K., maybe 25*F on a lovely June evening somewhere in the mountains of Colorado?

Wave lots of good advise here for you and the proper way to thank the TP lottery ticket gods is to offer up something with bacon on it. Pretty sure bacon is involved........ Medal Welcome Flower

Hello Auntie - Thanks for the kind welcome!  We're from Denver, and I'm the girl of this twosome.  I'm Terrell (yes, really, I'm a woman) and coming with my husband Burke.  There are three kids in the house, hence the login, but the kids will be at camp, so it's us and we're draggin another couple along with us.  Banjos make me smile from ear to ear, so will be running all the way to Telluride.  Had hoped to be sleeping in a camper trailer, but the fact we didn't get a vehicle pass is making me think we'll be doing a tent?  We do a fair amount of backpacking, so sleeping outside is one of the happiest places for me.

Responding to one post down... will be certain to pack plenty of bacon.  I'm sensing this theme throughout the forum, and we do want to keep the gods and neighbors happy Wave

PS, haven't figured out all the tech aspects of the forum... hope I got my reply across!

Wave For Uselessjo, this will be year six. Seems like yesterday, but boy has the Jailhouse come a long way. Sure wish you all were able to make it this year. If I win the Lotto I'd fund ya!
Wave For Cindylou, got the oven/stove at Sam's Club. Looked on line and don't see it at Sam's at this time. It is a Camp Chef out of Logan, Ut. and going to there site they list Big 5 in Durango and IFA in Cortez as dealers in you area. For camps that love to cook, this is the best thing since sliced bread!
Wave For Curtishouse5, welcome to our disfunctional family! You are going to have the time of you life. And, you will get plenty for help on the forum to help you all not stand out live a festivirgin. Just remember, when passing the Jaihouse, you must always pet the Party Goose for good luck! Yes, bring Bacon and Heen!
For those that didn't get tickets, keep the faith, eat lots of bacon and know that the Town Park family has got you back!
