What does any of this have to do with Todd Snider??

Anybody have an idea what happened with his set.

We are huge fans of his and were really excited to see his set.  At a festival that everyone is excited to play and if anything, play over their allotted time, it was confusing and disrespectful to play 30 minutes short without any explanation.

If it was really the marshmallows (which i find hard to believe) then he needs to get off his high horse.

He's one of the greatest songwriters and song singers alive but people won't watch him like they do a concerto recital. 

Also, does anybody else out there think that Jeff Austin typically detracts from Todd's music rather than add to it??

I feel like I missed a lot being back with the sunshades...I had no idea there were marshmellow wars.  And I'm glad I didnt know or it would have been bothersome!  If it was marshmellows that caused the short set- bummer!  No matter what it was-I think its going a bit far to get very bent about a short set and bashing him for it.

Of all things.....
  I remember once at a Stones concert there were 30 FRISBEES in the air at any given moment being hurled every which way. It was a bit scary. Another time I saw the B-52's literally using their guitars to block BEER BOTTLES that were being hurled their way- and that was during their first song! I felt bad for them, but they won everyones respect ( the crowd was pretty rough) because they didn't even complain, and continued playing for the rest of their set. While any projectile can be potentially dangerous, I think the best solution is to don your sunglasses and deal with it. I mean, I can't imagine anything less threatening than puffy sugar balls, 'cept maybe cottonwood seeds. If a crowd of 10,000 only has to deal with a few minutes of marshmallows then I say we're lucky. I kind of like the tradition...
  However, I DO think it may go too far when a good beer is ruined..
 Who knows? I'm stumped.

i loved the todd snider show, i was dancing up front the whole time and didn't even notice the marshmallows...... musta been a little distracting but all in good fun right?
