Hey, Friends!
Just a quick note to let you know we have another great show lined up for
this Saturday, Feb 10th, at the Altona Grange Hall.

The evening starts with the high-energy, great picking, and oddball humor of
the tallest band in bluegrass - the Ackermans! The fine folks have been
entertaining crowds in Branson, MO and around their home town of Pueblo, but
they don't get up this way very often. This is a great chance to see this
highly regarded CBMS band right in your back yard!

After we chase the Ackermans off the stage, you're in for another treat: The  Billy Pilgrims,
formerly called Wagon Train. This brand-new band features some very well-known musicians,
including Caleb Roberts of Open Road, Aaron and Erin Youngberg, founding
members of Hit & Run Bluegrass Band, and Dave Richey, who also played with Hit & Run
last year. The Billy Pilgrims play both traditional bluegrass and fine old time Honkey Tonk,
and they're planning to pull out all the stops to give us a fantastic show.

All that for the same low, low cover charge of $8! Doors open at 7PM, and
the music starts at 7:30. We'll have plenty of refreshments on sale -
including great coffee from the Unseen Bean and mighty tasty beer from
Boulder Beer - with all concession donation proceeds going to the Grange Hall.

The Altona Grange Hall is located on Nelson Road, approximately 1 mile east
of the intersection of Nelson Road and Highway 36. This is a few miles  north of Boulder,
and due west from Longmont.

See you Saturday at the Altona Grange!

Awesome.  Wagon Train (now Billy Pilgrim) opened up for the Wayword Sons at the Wildflower Theater last fall.  They were terrific.  Thumbs Up

I hope to make it out to this one...

Where exactly is Altona?  I've never heard of it.  Is it in Colorado?

The "Altona Grange Hall" is located in Boulder I think.
It's not a town, but a building. LOL

The Altona Grange Hall is located at the corner of Nelson Road and 39th Street; approximately 2 miles from where Nelson ends at route 36.  It's technically located in Longmont.

Hey, all....
Just wanted to make sure everyone knows about this week's Altona Grange Bluegrass Hoedown, featuring a favorite of mine, SWEET SUNNY SOUTH. The deal goes down on saturday at 7:30, with the same features:
beer by Boulder Beer.
coffee by our very own Unseen Bean(thanks Gerry!)
treats by whoever bakes em...
cost is $10, and we should be done in time to make the Jeff Austin show at the Fox...
I know there are many options for good music this weekend, so please come out and support the grange!
