So ... maybe this is wishful thinking, BUT...

Has anyone heard whether or not Peter Rowan will be performing with a band at this year's Bluegrass fest? I can't help but notice he's got some shows later in the summer according to a number of sources -- one at the Rothbury Festival in Michigan as close to Telluride as July 2 -- that has him booked as "The Peter Rowan Bluegrass Band featuring Tony Rice."  The two of them performing together is magical ... that's all I'll say.

Any word?

Oh, just the very idea makes me all giddy!  Thumbs Up

I think I should have no other mortal wants, if I could always have plenty of music. It seems to infuse strength into my limbs and ideas into my brain. Life seems to go on without effort, when I am filled with music.

I don't know if Tony Rice will be there, but I would LOVE it!

I did have the privelage to see Mr. Rowan play solo acoustic at the Museum Of Northern Arizona last year and it was AWESOME! Songs you've loved for years stripped down to the guitar and that voice. That haunting, beautiful voice.

I think of Mr. Rowan as Bilbo Baggins and Todd Scheaffer from Railroad Earth as Frodo. I Love Hobbits!

I would love it if Tony Rice was touring with Peter!  I saw them with Bryn Davies & Sharon Gilchrist at the Hacienda Restaurant in Reno and it was the best show I'd ever seen of Peter's.  I've loved Peter Rowan at Telluride but you can't beat a small venue.  Has anyone looked at Tony's website (does he have one?) to see if he lists Telluride?
