So since Stuart Duncan is playing with Elvis, does this mean he will be the House Band's fiddle player as well???
Luke is coming back though, and he was absolutely brilliant last year, there are a lot of good picks in the lineup already, so who knows, but the houseband should be epic once more Cheers

Even more exciting for me, I've not heard of half of the people are getting excited about so I've got double the thrills to come.

Educate me  Cheers

That's where I was last year, but I had two brothers that I was going with who did know them that could educate me. That and on the way down we gave Chris Elliot, the banjo player from Spring Creek (they opened the second day I believe), a ride from Montana, so I had even more education, really excited about the lineup, You'll have a great time Cheers

This lineup excites me.

-Railroad Earth getting the longer friday closing set softens the blow that LoS won't be filling that spot.

-Greensky being asked back because of their hard work and progress over the past couple of years makes me smile. I just hope folks come out early enough on sat to se them.

-Sat lineup looks STELLAR. Really not a stinker in the bunch. I really hope to see a Greensky Bluegrass nightgrass on sat night.

Looks like we're gonna get Railroad Earth at the Sheridan on thurs night. Woooohooooo! I want to go NOW!

Are we pretty sure that RRE will get the closer on Friday?  Maybe I missed something but I thought we just had the daily lineups so far not any talk of schedules?  They probably would be the front runner but I wouldn't be shocked to see Elvis Costello or even John Cowan Band get it.
Same question about RRE at the Sheridan on Thurs.??
I guess the question also applies to Greensky allegedly playing early on Saturday?

Along those lines, whats everbodys bets on who gets the Sheridan shows????
Here's my best guess.

Yonder (duh)
RRE (pretty easy guess as well)
Greensky (they just seem like a great fit)
and..... Punch Brothers......   they might not get as many votes as the others but their show there last year was EPIC.  best music of the whole fest for us.

and some intersting long shots.....  a Nickel Creek reunion, (and a really long shot) Todd Snider with a bluegrass backing band.

One more thing.  With all the speculation about the House Band being batted about, thought that I'd throw my idea out there.  Last year with Luke was great and we all now that Stuart would be amazing as well but,  I think it would be really cool to see them go with  a little more traditional bluegrass sound than they typically do.  So... Sam moves over to fiddle and Mike Compton steps in on the mando.

my to cents anyway

peace

My understanding from T.Tom  is that the line-up is shown in reverse order of appearence. So RRE would close Friday's line up. Happy B-day to my bride Jo (Kimmy) that turns 50 today!! Medal Flower Thumbs Up Cheers
