Both Alison Brown and Bela Fleck have Christmas records I enjoy, both very much in their unique styles.

Any other bluegrass Christmas CDs that people enjoy?

David Grisman - David Grisman's Acoustic Christmas
1986 Rounder Records   ( christmas classics dawged  and finishes w/Auld Lang Syne
w/Mike Marshall, Darol Anger, Bela Fleck, Rob Wasserman, Martin Taylor & others...

my favorite holiday cd, a must have in my opinion
mostly instrumentals with a few surprise vocal performances

I just figured out where I draw the line on Christmas music......
Sammy Davis Jr. and Frank Sinatra,,, just can't do it... LOL

I did notice Bela and the Flecktones had a new Christmas CD , think I'll order it...

I saw the Flectones this past Friday playing music off their Christmas album with the Alash Ensamble (a group of 4 tuvan throat singers). It was awesome! (though the volume could have been cranked up about 50% or more)

Wasn't quite a typical Flecktones show for me, but still a great album having been listening to it on and off since October.

Just as an FYI, "Jingle All the Way" has been #1 on the Jazz charts for the past 2 weeks, and has been nominated for 2 grammy's.

Best Pop Instrumental Album - Jingle All the Way
Best Country Instrumental Performance - Sleigh Ride

My favorite is "Christmas on the Mountain - A Bluegrass Christmas" from Universal South Records. I'm sure you can find it on Amazon.com Cheers

 Wave  I'm making my Tamales for the Holidays this afternoon...... yummy. As many as my hands can roll.....
OOOOoooohhhhhhhhhhhh she's makin' a list checkin' it twice,,,, gonna find out who's naughty or nice....

it really starts to grow on u
first listen was typical for jazz, confusing...... huh
then the magic of the masters unfolds Medal Wink
i love it Thumbs Up
especially on the 12 days of christmas when the tuvan singer
says "5 banjo strings"
