I have a quick question maybe someone will have the answer to.  Does anyone know if Kasey Chambers will be performing with her husband Shane Nicholson?  The lineup page discusses their album, but I would really like to know if he will be with her.  I really hope so, because their cd Rattlin' Bones is quite great.  Any thoughts? Thanks.

Hot off the press:

Aussie songwriting forces Kasey Chambers and Shane Nicholson have announced they will be performing at Telluride Bluegrass Festival in June in support of their country and bluegrass infused 'Rattlin' Bones' on Sugar Hill Records.

While both artists have successful solo careers in their native Australia and stateside, the husband and wife duo decided to join forces and create a sparsely produced record that highlights the intertwining of two distinct, yet perfectly harmonized voices in a style honoring their musical roots. The result is 'Rattlin' Bones' - a fourteen song LP featuring nine tracks written collaboratively and the remaining tracks written by either Chambers or Nicholson.

Cheers

I actually had a chance to catch Kasey Chambers and Shane Nicholson last week when they sat in for The Station Inn Fundraiser, and I must admit, they were quite good. She tore up the banjo! Can't wait to see them again!  Thumbs Up Thanks Planet Bluegrass!

I'd  love to see Marty Stuart play this year.  Wink

Saw Jerry Douglas at Celtic Connections in Glasgow in January and can't wait to
see the band again, they were brilliant.

I'm really looking forward to hearing the Punch Brothers play Bluegrass. Thumbs Up

I just can't decide who I'm looking forward to the most...
I suppose I have to admit that the house band sends shivers down my spine...but the Punch Brothers playing bluegrass is also a very exciting perspective!  :)

ha ha  :)
Speaking of which, I am getting slightly worried that there won't be enough hours in the day to fit in all the incredible music AND eating AND sleeping: do they do refreshment breaks between sets?  LOL  I don't want to find myself halfway accross the festival grounds in the wrong direction looking for a bite to eat and miss out on some insanely good artist/song/Jerry Douglas break !
Ahhh, this might take more planning than I thought!  Wink

All the vendors in the actual festival grounds are within earshot of the music, so missing an amazing song  in order to eat shouldn't be a problem. :cheersAnd it's really easy to bring in a sandwhich or something to munch on and just pull it out of a back pack or something  Flower

I'm with you lalagay,

I don't think I'll dare move a muscle for fear of missing one millisecond. Just a thought but couldn't the food and drink vendors travel round the site and feed us in situ, we won't need to move a muscle!! Hee Hee!  Band

A good wide brimmed hat is definitely a must if you dont want to miss something. The sun in telluride can conquer the best of us. I am from FL and thought we had strong sun until I went to Telluride and realized our sun is nothing more than a reading light compared to the sun up there.

Cool  :)
Glad to hear the music vs food side of Telluride is so Bluegrassfan friendly  Wink thanks for the advice Hot Sugar!
As for liveluvgrow, thanks for the great tip, I've been wondering about sun & temperatures quite alot as I've never set foot in the Colorado mountains. I grew up in the south of France, which has severely hot temperatures in the summer, but as you say, when you're up a mountain it's a different story...So I'm going to start looking for the perfect hat right now!   Cheers

Wave Light longsleeve shirts and tons of sunscreen as well Lala... I live in the mountains of Colorado and the best advise I would give is dress in layers Lala.... so you can peel down to a swim suit or bundel up to a jacket. Rain is a factor as well, good rain gear, day showers are common and are brief, and fun to play in .

The line up looks off the charts hold onto yer boots fantabulous..... Flower HOTDOG HENRY lets start packin!!! horsey :dog :dance

John Prine is also now billed with Levon Helm at Red Rocks the weekend before. I'll take either of these men as additions.

John gives a great live performance, I could see him 100 times and still want more. Smooth, relaxed and funny.. and you know every song weather you think you do or not, we have just heard his songs so many times....
Took a long backpack/fishing trip with a few friends and played and sung john Prine songs for a few days. His songs belong in the mountains....... Medal He played TBF a few years back,,, or was that RG?
