Hell Yes Josh Ritter!!!!

He's is absolutely amazing.

well, as long as I'm on here..... i'm not saying that you should bring him back this year but I honestly can't get my head around all the negative feeling about Ryan Adams.

I get that his loud, dissonant, rambling and even 'obnoxious' set wasn't everybody's cup of tea but... he was the second best songwriter in the whole valley that weekend. (and that includes folks like Tim O'brien, Darrel Scott, Soloman Burke, Tift Merrit, Del, Ricky Skaggs, John Oates, Bruce Hornsby, Glen Hansard etc......

Just seems like that would count for something.  Even if we're talking about just the performance.... not that bad.   The Frames were nearly unlistenable and the Swell Season were only margianaly better.

But all that said,   we all love most any music and I didn't regret listening to any of the folks we saw and can't wait  to see whoever gets thrown our way this here.

Just my two cents

peace and be well

I was wondering if anyone considers Elliott Brood to be grassy enough to play at the festival. I've wanted them to play more in the US, but they're so damn canadian.

They're pretty folk rock, but awesome either way. Well have fun disagreeing :)

I thought of a couple good "non-traditonal" suggestions for the line-up:

Blitzen Trapper - out of Portland would be a great folk / rockish group to consider.

Fleet Foxes - out of Seattle would be another great group to consider.  Their harmonies are beach boys / CSNY esque

Grace Potter could get peoples booties and souls shakin on a hot mountain day.

For the more traditional:

I just saw Greensky Bluegrass the other night and they just keep getting better...

Hot Buttered Rum would be fun (as always.)

Old Crow Medicine Show
Trampled by Turtles

I know others have mentioned it, but The Avett Brothers have really progressed as musicians since their last Telluride apperance and it would be great to see them one last time before they become HUGE!

Oh yeah, Thanks for Railroad Earth the Steeldrivers and Emmylou.  I'm already excited for the 2009 lineup!  I'm just looking for a little iceing on the cake!

PS.  Bob Wilke Knows what he is talking about...

I would  to see Alison Krauss & US and John Prine return. Mr. Prine ain't gettin' any younger. How 'bout Tom Waits?

I'd LOVE to see Tony Furtado added, even as a tweener. He and a KILLER player, Scott Law, are playing together under the name 'Banjo Killers'. That'd be tight!

I'll beg just one more time.  Please Alison Krauss in some musical fashion.  RPAK, AKUS, TRAKUS, or even just with Jerry.  With it being Jerry's 25th, even a surprise appearance would be wonderful.  The liineup looks great btw.  I'm really looking forward to hearing a traditional bluegrass set from the Punch Bros.
