I should first apologise for general absence from the forum. I havent been hectic so much as having catastrophic pc probs including reformatting and nice stuff like that but hello folks who remember the mad guy from the Isle of Man!
Well I am not going to suggest The Frames for at least another couple of years. My time off is booked and the flights look pretty good at the moment for a leisurely drive over and back. So down to the music.
Well Craig should hopefully, via Tom,have a copy of BACK DOOR SLAM's debut(new album being recorded in Jan in LA)Apparently getting Peter Frampton to guest on the album and Davy Knowles to help on PF's next project(this guy is only 21!) They are about to go tour with Govt Mule so if you are near any of their gigs check them out and see what the fuss is about. They just toured with Skynyrd/Kid Rock too! They would suit a Paolo Nutini time slot not a headliner yet.....

ALISON MOYET ex Yazoo would make for a great Sunday early evening jam methinks. Her vocals have just got gracefully better with age.

In agreement on Govt Mule(so we could have Back Door Slam) and the fab Bonnie Raitt

SIGUR ROS for an absolute ethereal atmosphere closer on the Sunday night IMHO. They played Bonnaroo last June and saw them again in Eire at Electric Picnic and they were stunning, simply stunning!

New young solo singer just toruing with Jason Mraz called LISA HANNIGAN who used to be a singer with Damien Rice has branched off and does a lovely trippy hippy set again suited to some lo fi gigs in town and a spot early afternoon perhaps. Voice and looks of an Angel!

Gonna quickly post this as last time I tried to thank the TBF clan for all the happy memories of what I coudl recall and it timed out and couldnt get in gear to type the whole thing out again!
More soon hopefully!

Just thought of another one.  I'd love to see Grace Potter and the Nocturnals in a late night set.

you know...The Dead will be touring again next year.... Seems to me an acoustic set of some of there more folk based material would fit in quite nicely at TBF! I wouldn't mind a Warren Haines solo set either... Wink :)

I know they played at the Folks Fest. but the Great Lake Swimmers would be a good fit for Telluride.  Jesse McReynolds would be great too.

If a banjo player picks in the woods, and no one is there to hear him.... is he still making an awful lot of noise?

Any chance of The Frames/The Swell Season coming back? Those two shows were amazing, and Glen Hansard's workshop was my favorite moment of the festival.

I second Lisa Hannigan.
