I was wondering if I have better odds putting in for just one pass or if it's better to request at least 2? Or does it even matter? Gotta get in there this year.

doesn't matter at all.

We'll assign each entry a random number, line 'em up in order, and start filling orders till the tickets run out.

Cheers

Hey everyone I just entered into the lottery.  How good do you think the chances are?  Do most people enter more than one account?
Last year was my first Telluride and meeting the people at Town Park was truly life changing.  I hope i can continue to do it forever from here on out.

In the summer of 2008 I enjoyed what must be one of the best times of my life.  It was my first Telluride.  Town Park camping was amazing, and it was the people surrounding me that made it such a great experience.  I cannot wait to go again this year!  I LOVE YOU ALL, FESTIVARIANS!!

The lottery can be entered by an individual only once, and can be entered by only two people per household.
Multiple entries by the same person could eliminate you from the lottery. EEK!

I'm already having anxiety over the idea that my name won't get picked.  Dear God is there any hope if it doesn't?  What do people usually do if they don't get drawn?

I don't know if we were just lucky last year or if it's pretty common....

Anyone know an average ratio of picked to not-picked each year?

Having little knowledge in general- and possessing no specific inside knowledge at all; but, based on a highly proprietary formula of SWAG, alcohol and calculator-

I put the odds of any one Town Park entry this year at 1 in 6.  (it came out 1 in 5.9, but who's counting)- let me fudge it by saying it could be as much as 1 in 7...I made some ASSumptions that may/may not be accurate- but it is an honest attempt to put a number to it.

I'm already having anxiety over the idea that my name won't get picked.  Dear God is there any hope if it doesn't?  What do people usually do if they don't get drawn?

Begging, cajoling, Warner Field and trolling Craigslist endlessly are viable options if this fails- not necessarily in that order- and not that I'm advocating begging.

relax- these things have a way of working out.  Good luck all...

Odds update on 11/18- more entered late than I had projected (buncha procrastinators)- best guess on odds of any one entry- 1:6.5 to 1:7.3

Even if you don't get picked there are ways around these things. I didn't get picked last year and I still ended up camping in warner feild so it worked out in the end. Good luck though!

ok, here's my dilemna
currently not enough funds available to pay for
4 tickets if I was to get picked in the lottery
allright, so be it
and I ain't gonna take my '64 D-21 to the hock shop

SOOOOOOOO
I would like to be on anyone's list if they get picked, get their tickets
and have 1 or 2 to sell to me within the next couple of weeks
my daughter, Aly, aka, allywally is still under 12 so she is in via the freebox
I may or may not have a friend travelling with us, so the need for only 1 or 2 tickets

So, fellow festivarians, keep me in mind if you have extra tickets that need a good home

You can apply for just one or two tickets, if the funds allow!

...I finally submitted my lottery application at 11:54 PM Nov 18, so did I win the Procrastinator Award this year?  Gee I still had 5 whole minutes left!!!  What was the big rush???  Good luck everybody!

My grandson Anthony (the "A-Man") is no longer an only child.  His parents have blessed him with a baby sister; He is the proud big brother of little Bella Rose, who was born on Nov. 6th, (right after sanity took America back from the conservative crazies that have been trying to wreck it for the last 8 years....an auspicious beginning for a new little life!) She is a beauty and a joy.

I am waiting semi-patiently for the promised email today but have not yet received anything.

I know Doug received a big fat rejection email not too long ago.
