Anything Ferg?
June is looking bleak, but I am hoping that they are working on pushing to August or some point later in the summer. I know that was talked about last year in the town halls (obviously before everyone realized how big this thing was going to get), and the issue was the other events that were scheduled. If they got on it early enough this year, I am holding out hope that there could be some semblance of Bluegrass in 2021.
A man can dream...
Stay safe everyone. Can't wait to reunite, whenever that ends up being.
You're right about there normally being a fully packed summer with just about every weekend being occupied; however, there are likely open weekends near the end of the summer. Blues and Brews is scheduled for the 9/17-19 and they recently said they're taking a "wait and see approach". I suspect the weekend prior and after is open for town park and would be willing to venture a guess that most parties involved would be flexible to a late summer Bluegrass if it's something PB wanted to do.
Having said that, the shorter days and also higher chance of far more inclimate weather can make it a different experience than what we're used to at the solstice. The rare snow that shows its face on one of the four days could easily be a three-day snow storm in late Sept. By the same token, it could just as easily be 70's and sunny every day. For certain, the sun would go down earlier and the nights would be much cooler. Having said "having said that", personally I'd welcome the chance ... even in the worst case scenario. In the same way I'd welcome the chance to get soaked to the bone at Folsom Field in the deluge at D&C in the summer of 2019.
