I know as of today there's no knowing if TBF will even happen again in 2021. But, I don't want to give up this far out. And today I heard of some new technology they're implementing at local hospitals to help with screenings. Anyway I as I assume many of you are, am really bored having mostly been at home the last 8 months, so I thought why not speculate and have some fun. So I'm hoping the 2020 line up can make the carry over. But, I wouldn't mind seeing Shinyribs make it onboard and I always want a Bad Livers reunion.

Does anyone know, did CW McCall ever play TBF? Or maybe just Bill played? We've been going through the record collection in alphabetical order and hit all the CW McCall albums last night, so I just got to wondering... Plus I know Bill was mayor of Ouray and I believe is still alive.

Hope everyone is doing well, with the Winter Solstice approaching in the strangest year of my life. We could use some regularity and some sanity. Cheers

I for one don't see 2021 happening but a guy can dream!

We got to see Shinyribs in 2018 at the Louisville CO Street Faire.  Dang did he put on a show - on par with St Paul level of energy so he'd be a welcome addition.

I was just thinking the other day how cool a rejuvenated Strength in Numbers set would be.

New Grass Revival, whenever we get this show back on. Watch the 31st IBMA awards where they get inducted into the Hall of Fame. Sam might need a little convincing but everyone else seems ready and Bela looks the part with his new beard. The perfect closing act for the next Telluride.

When The Gourds were headed into hiatus (2013) Kevin Russell (aka shinyribs)
started playing solo gigs. This was pre shinyribs.

A friend was having a house concert in Conroe TX with Kevin Russell solo.
As a standing joke I would yell out "Free Bird." The host turn around and asked Really?

No, no, no I was just joking.
Kevin said Be Careful What You Ask For. He then started playing  Metallica.

Monica gets her first round of vaccine Friday, and Addison and I should be able to get ours in a couple weeks through the Indian clinic. So thats a bit of excitement moving forward. I hope we can get anyone and everyone who wants it vaccinated by summer. Surely over 65% of the population should be vaccinated by May. Many folks I know including my Mother have already had there first and even second rounds of the vaccine so at least in my little part of the world it seems to be rolling out smoothly.

Stay safe. Lets hope the country doesn't burn down before we have the opportunity to Festivate!

Unless it’s exceptional circumstances ( eg medical or family emergency) we aren’t allowed to travel to US. We certainly wouldn’t be allowed back in easily. Flights back are rare and very expensive - sometimes $15,000. Then there is a fourteen day hotel quarantine at your expense. There are many thousands of Australians unable to return back.  I get it though - Australia has almost no active community transmission so we have travel bans. The only place we might be allowed to visit in next year is New Zealand. Life is very different isn’t it?

Missing my Telluride family very much. Cannot wait until it’s safe to meet again, what a party that will be.

Sending all my love & fervent wishes for safety & peace in the US. Thank goodness for streaming services 💙💚💙💚

Obtaining the vaccine, and showing proof, might enable you to travel in the future in and out of the US. Traveling to Canada has the same issue, a mandatory quarantine for 14 days, but if you are a Canadian citizen, they cannot deny you entry. Being an old fart, the state here is telling me that I will be able to get a vaccine after Feb. 8th. That would make it easier to travel. Maybe the only folks that will go to TBF this year will be over 65. We can serve the frog with Geritol.  Cheers

Sorry to hear you're unable to make it to Telluride anytime soon AF!  Just my own speculation, but not sure the festival scene will be in full swing this summer anyhow.

FWIW:  I'd trade places with you in a heartbeat.   I have a cousin near Adalaide who has described a far different experience with the pandemic than what we've allowed to transpire and grow accustom to in the US.

Regardless, hope you continue to remain safe and do well ... and hopefully you get to come back to enjoy the Telluride and the festival when the time is right.

It does not seem realistic that there will be a June festival.
