Music & travel & beer... not always in that order.

Wave June 19th -21st we'll be hosting a gathering at our land in Northeast Oklahoma, if TBF is cancelled or postponed.

This is the hope I am going to hold on to in order to really face that cancellation or postponement is a likely reality. The idea of not getting out and getting my recharge that week was more than I have been willing to think about. At least now, I can still plan to get out of the Arizona heat and visit great people while connecting nature and music, That's really what I need these days.

Thanks for the hope and the generosity of spirit that inspired this plan! One way or another, I look forward to seeing you this year!

Us too.  If things have died down enough come June (hopeful that will be the case) we will be there.   Cheers

As hushpuppy noted in a separate thread, Tim O'Brien noted, in FB, his June dates are cancelled, including TBF.

I highly recommend y'all read Tim's post. It was both sad, somber, and inspiring.

This too will pass; I hope we all are well on the other side of this, to gather again and be so thankful for our collective celebration.

Take care and be well, everyone.

Step aside from the expectation for a moment and reflect whether this is really a good summer for thousands to congregate if we do not have a vaccine or treatment after all of the sacrifices being made to flatten the curve.

Exactly. I love, love, love the festival but I love you people more. Keep safe. Let’s follow all the best evidence to minimise harm to the festivarian family and our community.  We come back together when it’s safe for everyone  - I know that PB and Ferg would  agree.  This is a marathon, not a sprint  and the survival of our community matters more than any party. I want to see everyone again back in the canyon. We’ve already lost too many- please   stay safe  💚💙💚💙

Seems all but official. Sad day, sad times in the world right now. Everyone stay healthy and safe, and will see everyone on the other side.

Now that we have had our reality check, and it seems we'll be able to move our 2020 TP tix to 2021, there is a huge void for us. We work our business hard during the year, and TBF is our annual escape for 10 days, away from the rest of the world.

We decided to venture to RRE's October festival in Eureka Springs, Arkansas - Hillberry - The Harvest Moon Festival.
It seems kind of fitting to go from the Solstice to the Harvest Moon.
It's not Telluride, but we've heard it's a great festival, and a great location.
And what's not to like about seeing (2) RRE sets in one week? :)
